If you are as bad as me when it comes to build custom trees, you should take a look at the "Arboria Saplings" Datapack. It allows you to grow a bunch of different custom trees from normal saplings (by planting them on certain blocks) #minecraft modrinth.com/datapack/arb...

modrinth.comArboria Saplings - Minecraft Data PackMakes saplings grow into custom trees from the datapack Arboria: Biome enhancement.

@hermitbot.bsky.social

And check out the "Arboria: Biome Enhancement" Datapack, too - it uses these trees for terrain generation and IMHO it's a really nice alternative to vanilla worldgen. modrinth.com/datapack/arb...

modrinth.comArboria: Biome Enhancement - Minecraft Data PackWorld generation data pack that overhauls vanilla overworld biomes, with a big emphasis on improving trees.

Monday morning mod recommendation: "Blooming Biosphere". It replaces all vanilla biomes with (IMHO) much nicer versions and adds a few new ones (without adding any new blocks) #minecraft modrinth.com/datapack/blo...

modrinth.comBlooming Biosphere - Minecraft Data PackAn overworld biome overhaul, enhancing vanilla's feel with new detail and vegetation

@hermitbot.bsky.social

If you use it, you should also install modrinth.com/datapack/cli... (IMHO the way it generates stony cliffs is much nicer than BB on its own) and modrinth.com/datapack/ter... (if you wanna be able to grow the new trees) 😊

modrinth.comCliffs - Minecraft Data PackAdds stony cliffs to Minecraft

If you're tired of the old, blocky leaves in #Minecraft you should give "Cubic Leaves" a chance. It's a different take on the whole "Bushier Leaves" idea and I kinda like it 😀 modrinth.com/resourcepack...

modrinth.comCubic Leaves - Minecraft Resource PackAn extremely fast, vanilla-friendly, fancy bushy leaves resource pack designed with performance in mind.

@hermitbot.bsky.social

Random Mod Recommendation: "Countered's Settlement Roads" (Fabric+Forge) connects villages with roads and IF it works (for some reason it didn't always work for me and there were no roads or they ended randomly), it's really awesome. modrinth.com/mod/countere...

modrinth.comCountered's Settlement Roads - Minecraft ModA mod that generates roads between villages

@hermitbot.bsky.social

This is a screenshot from my test-world. One road connects the SE-village to the one in the top center and another road connects that village to the one in the NW corner.
