Free SaaS homepage teardowns this week. Reply with your URL and who it's for. You get: → the #1 thing confusing visitors above the fold → a rewritten headline → one CTA fix No catch, no DM pitches. Full-page version: herofix.netlify.app

Real police never call asking for a transfer or secrecy. Hang up, call family.

Founders: before paying for any AI-visibility tool, ask ChatGPT and Perplexity "best [category] for [buyer]" 5 different ways. Note who gets named and which pages get cited. If it's a Reddit thread or listicle you're not in, that's your to-do list, not your homepage.

60-second homepage check: 1) Can a stranger say what you sell from the headline alone? 2) Is there one main button above the fold? 3) Is there proof (a number, logo or quote) before the first scroll? Most "traffic but no signups" pages miss #3. Want a free roast? Reply with your URL.

10-minute check for B2B founders: 1. Write 5 questions a buyer asks before finding you ("best X for Y"). 2. Ask ChatGPT and Perplexity. 3. Note who gets named and which pages get cited. Those cited pages, not your homepage, are usually what to fix. Tried this yet? What came up?

Pattern from the indie homepages I looked at this week: in most of them, the clearest sentence about the product was in the founder's launch post, not on the site. Before rewriting your hero, copy the line you'd use to explain it to a friend. That's usually your H1. What's yours?

Quick test for B2B founders: ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini "best [your category] tool for [your buyer]". If you're not named, check that your site states category + buyer in plain words, and that you're listed on review sites. Free: reply with your category and I'll run it.

The most common hero mistake I see this week: the headline names the category ("AI-powered workspace") instead of the person and the outcome. Test: could a stranger finish the sentence "This helps ___ do ___" in 5 seconds? If not, rewrite that line first. #buildinpublic #SaaS

❌ "Install free ↓" just scrolls down. For a Chrome extension the CTA should be "Add to Chrome, free" and go straight to the Web Store.

Rewrite (bugs): "Click a bug. Get a report your AI agent can actually fix." Rewrite (JSON): "Any webpage → clean JSON in one click. Your model, your keys."

✅ The demo (an investor page becoming clean JSON with revenue and growth fields) is concrete and believable. Keep it, just move it up beside the headline.

✅ "Nothing is sent until you press Structure this page" + "choose your own AI provider" answers privacy early. Good. Add a lock icon so it gets noticed.

❌ The post says "turns browser bugs into debugging reports for AI coding agents." The page says "Turn any page into structured JSON." Visitors look for bug reports and don't find them. Pick one job for the hero.

Rewrite: "Run 16 coding agents at once. Ship only what passes your tests." CTA: "Start free trial," not "Get started."

✅ "Agents cut corners. Your tests don't." is the strongest line on the page, and it's buried. That line is the reason to pay. Make it the subhead.

❌ "From $17/month · 7-day trial for $1" in the hero, for a giveaway crowd, is likely where trials stalled. The $1 adds friction without screening anyone. Test a free 7-day trial with card, or a free tier capped at 2 agents.

❌ "Parallel Intelligence / The Agent Everything App" = two abstract labels before the pitch. Your real hook is the line under them: "Up to 16 coding agents at once. See which one needs you. Undo any step." Lead with that.

❌ No price anywhere. If it's free or has a trial, say so next to the App Store button. A clear "free for X days" usually does more than any copy tweak.

Rewrite: "Your apps go to sleep at 11. So do you." Sub: "Bedline locks TikTok, Instagram and anything else you pick until your wake-up time. Emergency unlock if you really need it." Nice work overall.

❌ First objection: "what if I really need my phone at 1am?" You answer it, but halfway down. Pull "Need access? Press and hold for a temporary unlock" into the hero. It's your best trust point.

❌ "The endless scroll / Your Bedline / A better morning" shows up twice, and two sections are pure mood. Cut one and put proof there: add one real number, or 2 real reviews.

✅ "Stop scrolling. Start sleeping." plus "blocks the apps you choose until morning, even if you tap them." In 2 lines I know what it is and what's different. Most pages never manage that.

You are up to date.
