Current WIP! Pastel pencil.

First in a series of 3 that will hopefully be a set of Holiday cards! Mouse ref photo kindly provided by Peter Skillen with permission.

Another example of my kid’s Minecraft shader (MollyVX). This one made me laugh. It’s fine… #minecraft #minecraftshaders

My eldest has been working on a really cool Minecraft shader (for those of you who know about such things, or care, it’s called MollyVX ). Here’s John McClane in an air duct (click on it for full pic) 😬 #minecraft #diehard #shader #art #diehardisaxmasmovie

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 10 - see Day 1 post for context. Still not an RV piece; it’s another random piece. Cute but Lame. Is this the Santa hat that Clark wears? (A stretch). At least it’s got color on both sides 😁 I hope that extra RV part shows up 🤞 #christmasvacation #advent

Carolina Wren 🪶 #birding #photography #wren #macro #nature

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 9 - see Day 1 post for context. I was wrong! Not another RV piece but a very random tiny snowman. Is there a snowman in this movie? At least it’s festive. Well, half festive (front half). I hope that extra RV part does show up 🥴 #christmasvacation #advent

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 8 - see previous Day 1 post for context. Déjà vu! It’s…. the EXACT same piece as day 7 😆 - this is the other end of the RV but rather than make it unique, they hit ctrl-c ctrl-v. Now we just need the middle (tomorrow?). #christmasvacation #advent

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 7 - see Day 1 post for context. Fairly tame but clearly they mean to drag this out over a few days. It’s the back end of a beat up RV. I expect to see more RV parts in our future. That wheel has zero chance of hitting the ground 😏 #christmasvacation #advent

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 6 - see Day 1 post for context. Another person! - Ellen Griswald, but she looks much more pissed off than I recall from the movie. Perhaps it’s because some hair is flesh; a side effect of being cursed? Love her goth makeup 😆 #christmasvacation #advent

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 5 - see previous Day 1 post for context. Stop everything! It’s a character! But which one? Is it Clark on the sled? No. That’s just bad moulding. My kid figured it out as Clark in a green turban. Ignore the brown splotches I guess 😆 #Christmasvacation #Advent

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 4 - see previous Day 1 post for context. Still no actual movie characters and this literal plastic square stumped us for a moment, but then Mina remembered the little plastic pool model 😂 - but sadly no tiny diving board. #ChristmasVacation #Advent

Knock off Christmas Vacation Advent Day 3 - see previous Day 1 post for context. No actual movie characters yet, but never fear! Aunt Bethany’s lime green cat kibble jello mold is even better as our next prize 😆 #ChristmasVacation #Christmas #Advent #HappyHolidays

Knock off Advent Day 2 - see previous Day 1 post for context. Today is a random Rudolph wearing a Santa hat and scarf. It looks like it could be made into an ornament if they had bothered to actually make a hole through the loop, but that plastic is solid 🙃 #ChristmasVacation #Advent

Kid 1 got a Christmas vacation advent calendar at a flea market. Day 1 We realize that this is clearly not a licensed product. The Jelly is not remotely like on the box 😆 - we are delighted to find out what future items will be. Kid 2 said cursed items are better. I’ll share the progress. #advent

Hello #portfolioday ☺️ I’m a scientist and artist working in colored pencil and pastel pencil. I love drawing birds and animals the most, and often do pet portrait commissions. Here are some of my recent favorite pieces and my website. heather-kiefer.pixpa.com

And it’s finished! My little cockatiel with thanks to Caro Andrea for the cockatiel reference photo (his name is Cello). The book lettering is done in gold so it reflects and shimmers with movement. #grafix #derwent #luminance #polychromos #birds #birdart #art #drawing #coloredpencil #cockatiel

Just about finished - I just realized I still need to add a tiny bit to the gold lettering. But nearly there! #grafix #Derwent ##polychromos #luminance #birdart #cockatiel #art #drawing #birds
