It would be grand, then, if the Government of Canada would terminate any use of X/Twitter. And don't say, "Oh, we need it to get our messages out," because then you are "caught in a situation where we are reliant on one provider."
Mark Carney on what Elon Musk's throttling of Starlink means for Canada: "We do not want to be caught in a situation where we are reliant on one provider that puts Canadians at risk or compromises our sovereignty, our ability to express our values and live our values."

Seen this story all day today. Every headline says "27 year old Minnesota man..." I have yet to see one with the headline that the man was Somalian. The most maligned and denigrated group in Minnesota www.goodmorningamerica.com/news/story/2...

Ossoff: "It's the most corrupt administration of all time & everybody knows it. While the crook president & his crook family rake in billions from all over the world, you pay more for everything... they lied us into war & spent most of the last year covering up for the world's most famous pedophile"

How cray-cray will this get? Oh shit: is this what every populace over all human time experiences at the collapse? How many kingdoms were recorded for averting disaster? Time to sleep
Trump: "I said, 'Let's go and join the president for lunch at Mar-a-Lago and we'll buy one hamburger and a small dessert. That'll take up about $5,000.'"

...making the arch both a crow's nest for the Capitol's prison guards and a legitimate military target under international rules of war, should they matter again one day the J6 insurrection continues apace
Oh, just our moronic president casually telling the entire world and our adversaries where they can find a large cache of munitions. Also, clearly the snipers are for us. He’s a very stupid and very sick person. Enjoy your $5+ gas folks. It isn’t going to get better.
Mitch McConnell may be suffering from dementia induced Hypomimia, but that most often leads to a neutral expression The question I can't get out of my head is: are they using Botox(R) to make him look like he's smiling? The people around Mitch are power mad ghouls either way

"I wrote the piece and Claude found the links relevant to my claims" is, even without the AI, such an admission of poor thinking and argumentation. your claims should emerge from the evidence!
Less shocking to me was reading this bit at the end, where Erickson - whose entire day-to-day job is just wanking out a bit of punditry once or twice a week - has handed much of that over to AI.

This is what happens when the guy on the 'other side' of a trade war you started knows the tactics, strategy, and logistics of winning said war You get Punk'd, Donny, that's what you get Well played Canada
Now THIS is how you respond to trade uncertainty. 🇨🇦 A $4.7B VIA Rail deal bringing passenger-car production from the U.S. to Canada means investing at home, strengthening Canadian industry and creating jobs. Build Canadian. Buy Canadian. Believe in Canada. 🍁 #CanadaStrong #BuyCanadian

Nice to see the young are noticing that DOW Jones 50k just means corporations are bleeding us dry
Pennsylvania’s youngest voters disapprove of President Donald Trump at a higher rate than any other age group, fueled by their pessimism over the economy, a new Inquirer/New York Times/Siena poll has found. 🔗 www.inquirer.com/politics/e...
I've been a Linux fan from the jump Cut my teeth on Unix (so, old-ish) I've never before recommended it to replace anyone's windows home whatever But Ubuntu Studio and ZorinOS are pretty much there They even have solid Windows emulation for many/most(?) things
The only practical use for Windows in my opinion is there are certain programs that refuse to run on any other operating system. The whole OS has devolved into a surveillance system.
