I got my $90 Medicare Part B premium rebate on Wednesday. The next day I got a deposit for $162 from SS for a onetime adjustment and going forward an $18 per month increase in my SS because my 2015 wages were not accounting for when determining my benefits.

Is someone calling in false alarms, does someone not know how to use their gas burner, is someone blowing out the pilot light and putting their head in the oven? (FWIW, my gas stove and oven doesn’t have a pilot light - electronic ignition so theirs probably is the same).

This complex is old and I’ve had a lot of plumbing issues but never any NG issues. I feel bad for the first responders. They probably see the address and think, “here we go again” but they have to respond to and treat every call the same with the same urgency.

This happens “alarmingly” often at that same address and always the same - lots of emergency vehicles dispatched and gone 15-20 minutes later. The local gas company is never called either as I would expect for an actual gas leak.

I wasn’t sexually harassed at this job by my boss, in fact my boss was great, but I was talked down to by the principals and harassed a few times by the other men in the office, and at my next office job, well not so much. The owner was an absolute a pig.

the dress code for women was dresses, or blouses and below the knee skits, or jacketed suits with skirts, pantyhose and high heel shoes. The dress code especially for women like me who worked in the back office, who never saw clients, had nothing to do with my ability to do my job.

No doubt 'any' doesn't mean Russia, China or North Korea. Most crushing... 🤔 He's going to have a hard time crushing the American economy more than he already has.

I have to get regular blood draws to monitor for several health conditions I have, about once or every other month. The lab typically draws 2, sometimes 3 vials, one poke and not a lot of blood taken overall, no side effects and perfectly safe and in one single visit, in and out in 15 minutes.

Now add all the other people who need similar blood labs that are now spaced out in separate draws and soon the lab is overwhelmed, not able to schedule or take people in a timely manner plus now I may need to lose more time away from work.

I have to get regular blood draws to monitor for several health conditions I have, about once or every other month. The lab typically draws 2, sometimes 3 vials, one poke and not a lot of blood taken overall, no side effects and perfectly safe and in one single visit, in and out in 15 minutes.

Now let’s say someone without any medical or scientific training or science-based evidence, says, “that’s too much blood” and it would be better to take less blood and spread the blood draws out over 4-5 or more visits, separate blood draws spaced out over months or more and for each lab test.

Not to mention that delaying some of these labs could result in my doctor's missing vital information needed for my treatment and potentially fatal to me, but in spreading them out, I'm less likely to not get all my labs done or done in a timely manner.
