I HAVE the consistency now. And I have one producing the correct bottle shape instead of something random. Ex: Real bottle photo (which we can't always get on a project) & mockup that's correct. Bottle AND label shapes vary A LOT which is why I'm not making Photoshop mockups & dropping files in.

More event prep… smoked cocktails Thursday.

Some of you with the similar looking pfps … I joke around with one and not the other and suddenly realized I wasn’t sure my reply was appropriate for the one I don’t normally joke around with. It’s time for coffee.

CSS-Tricks has a new owner! Yes, I've got the keys to the castle, so to speak. And, even after 12 years of working on the site, I'll admit I'm a little overwhelmed and nervous about that. https://css-tricks.com/css-tricks-has-a-new-owner/

to try it out, make sure you have beta features enabled here: bsky.app/settings/bet... then, visit your Notifications tab here: bsky.app/notifications it looks and feels a bit different — i'd suggest using it for a bit to get a proper feel for it. we'll iterate with your feedback.

9 hours of sleep time for coffee ☕️

Ok somehow today was: - prepping for some bottling runs - large event prep (I should have taken video of the smoked cocktail test but I’m tired) - realizing I need to do sales tax paperwork - laundry - do tasting notes for 6 single barrel bourbons for potential release to market - tomatoes outside

globalnews.ca/news/1211887... Shampoo ... you're really going to make me research again? Canada IS much better about having a selection of properly no-perfume products but I also have to see if this extends to ingredients in brands made by American companies ...

Slept 11 hours last night and somehow still tired. Yes, 11 hours. I DO feel better but ... this last week was rough in terms of work AND perfume exposures. Then I look at my todo list ...

Exhausted from this week. Harvest before frost. Multiple events. Design work. Print runs. PHP & other CVEs. A neighbor somewhere on the street called the police (it was LEGAL so the cop was basically apologizing about even knocking on the door?) Relatives drama. Towed a car.

New sampler - music to listen to this week: tidal.com/playlist/422...

It is utterly exhausting dealing with people who are reliably overly angry about certain things (that really shouldm’t make them that angry.) I try and not be that person too but I do feel like I end up more like that when I deal with key people who are in fact that way.

So the other thing to note about the new links stuff, they don't show in the other clients yet (which is why I'm leaving them in my bio for the moment.)

This is a good (quick read) newsletter to keep up with some things you might have missed in the self-hosting world. Plex for example is laying off people.

It’s time to actually start posting event things again. The other facet of my life 😎🥃

We brought the tomato plant and some pepper plants into the living room temporarily because dangit, we want romas and a few more peppers. (The perks of container gardening.)

Ok … so not exactly happy that I just got an email from one host saying that they took care of the PHP cve after I had absolutely already handled it and ran my own checks. They were the one host out of 3 that did not send me something early in the day & now they are claiming to have done work? 🫠

Happy update all the things day to those who celebrate

Wake up and ... ok yeah ... I have too many things to do today including ... that ...

Which one of you doesn’t know what your LinkedIn listing looks like to other people when you search for them?

I did test out the pressure washer I bought 6 months ago finally … and yes I wrote “hello” on the patio. And still need to do the rest of it after I either patch the garden hose or buy a new one. The hose IS over 10 years old. 🤷‍♀️

So at some point Facebook realized I was bra/underwear shopping & has started showing me ads. Some of which are not safe for coffee shops / NSFW. Great ads & I'm not opposed to the nipples or bare butts but COFFEE SHOP. I really have this thing about social media needing to be location aware.

A lot of the feeds on this account are using Skyfeed for building & hosting. I have been a paying supporter since VERY early on but Skyfeed needs more support in order to cover costs. IF you have the funds to do so, please become a subscriber. 😎 🟢

Ladies, gentlebeans, eggs, ghosts, goblins I present to you our collective failure. Almost real time statistics on how stubborn @jcsalterego.bsky.social is to our heartfelt advice. jerryno.idunno.bot

Hey atproto devs - anyone building an instagram alt for events & brands? @grain.social and @zeens.app specifically - you could maybe use the same code base & create a second app so that the current ones stay photography oriented? (Though ... SMM tools ... ughhhhh.... 🫠)

I want other projects to learn & avoid what's been happening to WordPress .org The .org has been used as a point of control and not in a positive way over the last few years especially. Worth a read about accessibility too:

I should probably review my lists because apparently I've missed some people who should be on some lists (and I should probably clear out some lists I don't really use / reorg them on another account so they are in an order that makes sense ... why can't I reorder these? Alphabetically works.)

Want to explore the Atmosphere some?

I’m going to have to either: - take a photo or a printed photo I took - or dig through files that are not on my camera roll for a boat photo I took 🤔 (all boats on my camera roll seem to be screenshots)

Event prep - making blue Bourbon cocktails that taste great and don’t use artificial colors

I think we will be making some … salsa? With the pile of green tomatoes we just harvested. Check the forecast for frost in your area because there’s a cold front coming through.

Such a peach and periwinkle sunset

I always think I've bought a large enough internal hard drive & then I try to do some things quickly that just need that little bit more & I'm annoyed at myself. It's not impossible to do but it's always extra time to reorg some things. Maybe I need to start using an external drive differently.
