"I just want to set the scene. The ocean has been evaporated by a planetary laser cannon and you're all tumbling down at terminal velocity in a submarine, fighting angels on the way down." "But also union busting. Just doing a bit of union busting on the way down." Watch Heavensfall! #ttrpg #rpg

Let me sell you on HEAVENSFALL! Angels attack with devastating might, but hundreds of heroes answer the call. It's a campaign of arcs, each in a different game system, and never D&D. Here's a highlight from our 13th Age arc, The Book of Dust www.youtube.com/watc... #ttrpg #13thage #rpg

I hate to break it to you, Tim Sweeney, president of Epic Games, but this will not reduce texture pop in time in the engine.

This Week in Videogames - TWIV@thisweekinvideogames.com

Following Tim Sweeney's remarks of a "huge pivot" towards AI at Epic, we asked the company what tools they're using to develop Unreal Engine, just how much they're vibe-coding, and whether they're concerned about backlash. Here's what Epic's EVP of Development, Marcus Wassmer, said to us:

A productive day! On Mastodon discussing how much you can breathe in a bong cloud so dense you can't be seen from a few feet away, and what kinds of aerobic activity that might support. On Discord working out where Senpai fits in with other titles (since Senpai is Japanese Esquire)

DriveThruRPG has its problems, but I DO like that if a sale comes from a link you gave out yourself, they take less of a cut.

ICYMI: Check out my stream of King of the Bridge, a sort of pastiche of chess and paper's please, where your opponent is cheating and you don't know the rules. The horse is troubled. www.youtube.com/watc... #KingOfTheBridge #gaming #videogames

(8) Enter The Chronosphere A roguelike bullet hell where time only moves when you do. You'd think that would defeat the point, but it just lets them dial up the complexity. Extremely good fun and very tactical! Great for those who want to pause when things get too chaotic.

(9) Waltz & Jam This is the indie mascot platformer I've been waiting for. Part 2D Zelda, part Mario Odyssey, and a big chunk of Banjo Kazooie. It's polished, creative, pretty, and fun. I couldn't recommend it more. There's a free demo, try it right now.

The games (1): Until Then. One of the best narrative games of all time. You play a high school eternal procrastinator, trying to keep everything together after the world almost ended. Keep playing after the devastating credits, this game is Yoko Taroing you.
