IMPERFECT SCIENCE It feels like war is all that mech pilot Maris Keigh has ever known. One of the only constants she can cling to in a life defined violence and chaos are her post-sortie check-ups — and the technician who conducts them… also available at: rats.red/i-s windowsloth.itch.io/i-s 1/15

I think so much of the WPA photography is so interesting both as art and as propaganda. something I’d really like to go back and read more about bc I feel like I find myself coming back to it fairly often

finally went back and started Shelved By Genre’s Tolkien series and I love that their “no secondary material” provision lasts about an episode and half before they’re reading at length from Tolkien’s letters and talking about early Gene Wolfe novels

now in fairness all of the letters they read are about Tolkien hating airplanes, and it is good podcasting imo

halloween ghost story comic coming this weekend……. a rare occasion where i’m not drawing yuri so everyone has to be nice about it

< me as a cursed weapon: look at them. look at their soft skin. their soft bodies. it would be so easy to make them bleed. you could make them scream. don't you want to? don't you want to see them bleed? my wielder: no... i can't do that me: okay fucking whatever forget i said anything i guess

next year if i get the bright idea to do a halloween comic i want one of you to come to my home and beat the shit out of me

god the Sable-Belle-Tresst dynamic lights up like 8 parts of my brain at the same time it’s so good

maybe the most I’ve identified with Sable tbh, i too would be outside the party hitting that starlight to be able to socialize

for the real perverts: if it was 2019 I was still using HC110… looking at the charts I want to say it would have been dilution H because I don’t think I was messing with semi-stand developing at that point (and also 18 minutes just feels right in my gut)

last post I’m making about After God i promise, but I’m caught up now and wow this actually turned out to be an understatement

(also while I am enjoying it, I’m like 40 or so chapters in by now and I’m kinda still chasing the high of that scene… stringing me along with little breadcrumbs of toxic hypno yuri…….)

I get what people like about After God, but a lot of the plot revelations in the latter half are like tailor-made to get me to stop caring about the story. I will probably catch up to the current chapters still but woof. Not for me as it turns out

gotta be honest. not thrilled with some of the directions the story takes? it very quickly starts veering towards something that i don’t have a ton of patience for

realizing I’m actually relatively ignorant about the specifics of Japan’s COVID response so I might be projecting a little bit, but this manga does have a real post-COVID vibe to it

I’ve never watched the sopranos, when people say “tone” in their sopranos posts are they just spelling “tony” in a funny way or is it meant to be pronounced “tone”

the only things I miss from twitter are a couple of mutuals who aren’t active here and that one shuukura artist who draws a really good sendai

“When I think of my own death, or of the death of someone who has been kind to me, or even of the death of the sun, the image that comes to my mind is that of the nenuphar… Under flower and leaves are black roots as fine and strong as hair, reaching down into the dark waters.” (from back in 2023)
