Disclosure Foundation (@disclosurefound.bsky.social) has published a policy brief regarding the UAP Records Collection at the National Archives. That collection is a cornerstone for current and proposed UAP legislation and more needs to be done to ensure records are released to it. #uap #ufo

The Department of Defense/War released their 5th batch of UAP records. The UAP records release at the National Archives, mandated in the 2024 NDAA, has clearly been put on the back burner. Records are months past due there, as the administration opts to focus on a slow drip at War.gov. #ufo #uap

It has been two months since Air Force UAP records appeared in the National Archives’ Amazon S3 and were promptly taken down. Those records and potentially more remain withheld from the public. With promises of release of UAP records, there’s been silence on existing efforts underway. #uap #ufo

The Department of Defense/War just released their 4th batch of UAP records. While those records are being released, the UAP records release mandated in the 2024 NDAA appears to be ignored. Records are past due for release at the National Archives with no updates on why. (1/3) #ufo #uap

Those records were declassified over a year ago and there are likely more waiting to be released at the National Archives. It seems that the government's focus is on showcasing War.gov and Trump's "PURSUE" UAP records release. Allowing UAP records to appear elsewhere would detract from that. (3/3)

BURLISON PROPOSES UAP REVIEW BOARD A 🧵 1) Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) on 6-18-26 filed at the House Rules Committee a 65-page proposal to establish a review board empowered to locate UAP records and materials, a possible amendment to the FY 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 8800).

The last batch of UAP records for “PURSUE” continue to show indication that records are being redirected from the National Archives to instead be released to war.gov. Some records state “Approved for Release 2026 Under Section 1842 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024”. 1/2

This section is specifically for “Review, identification, transmission to the National Archives, and public disclosure of unidentified anomalous phenomena records by government offices.” Yet, these records have not been uploaded to the National Archives’ UAP Records Collection. 2/2 #ufo #uap

And now the links are dead. These were already intended for public release, so they should still be going live at some point. What I wonder is, will these be added to war.gov? If so, which site will see them first.

Yep… Aliens.gov has launched. And, it is exactly what you’d expect.

Two domains for "alien.gov" and "aliens.gov" have been registered. With this administration there's no telling what type of alien it's for. Watch it be a DHS site.

These were mandated to be released to a UAP collection at the NARA by the 2024 NDAA. The deadline to release them has passed. Instead of being added to NARA's catalog, they are solely listed at War.gov. They are disregarding legislation by not also adding them to NARA's UAP catalog. (5/5)

Today's release of UAP / UFO records had already been in the works years before Trump's request to release records. The 2024 NDAA mandated agencies review for UAP records and transfer to the NARA for public release. The work to release today's records had likely already happened. (1/4) #uap #ufo

And, a lot of the records released had already been declassified or never classified. 65_HS1-834228961_62-HQ-83894_Section_3 was noted as "Declassification authority derived from FBI Automatic Declassification Guide, issued May 24, 2007." and had been copied for previous FOIA requests. (3/4)

There are supposedly more UAP records to be released in coming weeks. So, they can still show that they have expanded on the work previously done. But, for now, credit should be given to NARA and federal agencies for their work leading up to this point. (4/4)

My latest post on the UAP record transfers to the National Archives. Despite a lot of talk about releasing UAP files, little has been said about the release already under way. I also go over the role of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) in the release of UAP records. #uap #ufo
