For anyone concerned about the 24% vote to separate in Alberta - which seems way too high - remember that some people voted that way because they were told it would send a message and improve Alberta's negotiating power with Ottawa. They voted for the threat of separation, not for separation itself.

Also, a lot of people were given the wrong information about how separation would work - how much it would cost, whether they'd be able to keep their passports, false assumptions about trade, etc. A real referendum based on actual facts of separation would do far worse than 24%.

Musk was hoping today would be about making cars fly but instead the coverage is about his part in cutting Starshield coverage to Ukraine and how much death and destruction he helped Russia inflict on civilians. Don't buy Tesla, don't use X or Grok, don't get StarLink. Fuck that guy.

Can we all agree there should be consequences for Elon Musk telling Quebec, Alberta and Saskatchewan to separate? No more grants for Tesla EVs, no more zoning or municipal support for Tesla charging stations, no StarLink subscriptions, and everybody stops using X.

If I read the new ICBC rules correctly, they've done away with the second road test but have brought in new rules that require young drivers to keep their Ns until they're 25?!? One passenger only until my daughter is 25? I'm all for road safety but that's effing crazy.

I can't find the video outside of Reddit, but Jesse Waters interviewed Doug Ford and said he was offended that Canadians wouldn't want to be the 51st state because everybody wants to be American. I imagine it's like thinking you're a perfect 10, asking a 6 out on a date and being told "eww, no."

Don't believe AI CEOs have suddenly become concerned about the technology moving too fast. The call for "pacing the frontier" is driven by the fact that companies are hemorrhaging money, data centers are unpopular and becoming an election issue for Republicans, and concerns about a market crash.

None of the leading companies could afford to keep up the arms race and so they've made a truce, pretending now to support regulation and oversight to give investors confidence in the technology and business model, and override local concerns about data centers.

Crypto is doing the same thing because they know regulation gives them a legitimacy they never had and that opens up new possibilities to keep their ponzi scheme going by partnering with banks, the treasury, etc.

To all the commentators on here linking people to their blogs and substacks, I'm NOT going to sign up. Every time I subscribe, I'm bombarded by emails and constant requests for funding and shares. Make your content freely available and you'll get my views, clicks and shares. That's it.

It's been obvious for a while in choosing AI centre locations that this is a double play. There's the AI play, which will rely heavily on government contracts, and the resource play, which is owning the rights to power and water and becoming private utility companies.

One of the reasons the US is attacking Canada for its wildfires is that they can't acknowledge climate change. The GOP party line is that climate change is a liberal hoax, so whenever a wildfire burns it's because of mismanagement. They blamed California, they're blaming Canada.

And I do agree we need to do more to fight wildfires, but that's because we have to adapt to climate change - not because we were lax in managing forests. Canada's boreal forest is so big that it would be the seventh-largest country on the planet. Kind of hard to rake that.

Everybody is talking about "democratic socialists" like it's some kind of newfangled spinoff of communism. No idiots, a democratic socialist is every single politician you've ever had that cared about schools, health care, seniors, infrastructure, services, public safety, justice - you name it.

A democratic socialist believes in democracy (what people want) and the power of improving society through the socialization of costs for the things we need - public schools, community colleges, hospitals, roads, utilities, parks, and everything else. Somehow those things have become invisible.

MAGA: America is a not a racist country, we had a black president! ALSO MAGA: Fuck Obama, he was the worst president we ever had. He should be arrested and hanged for treason. That AI video of him and Michelle as apes was really funny. Also, Michelle is a man.

Conservatives say they want to keep women safe while endangering and diminishing them in countless ways. What they really want is to keep women pregnant, married, dependent and silent. Tell these TPUSA trad wives to fuck off.

It you want further confirmation of what MAGA and conservatives think of women, watch how Trump treats female reporters, and female members of his administration who fail him. Nobody in MAGA speaks up for them.

I could go on, but the reality is that no woman should be voting for conservatives right now. Roe v. Wade was overturned by the same conservative Supreme Court Justices who crossed their fingers when they told the senate it was established law. Conservatives are protecting Epstein's clients.

Conservative anti-DEI campaigns are denying women of merit the right to work and be promoted. Conservatives are putting women's health at risk. Conservatives would strip women of their right to vote tomorrow if they could, requiring birth certificates that don't match their married names.

There are Republicans that would repeal the 19th amendment that allows women to vote. There are Republicans that would overturn the Equal Credit Opportunity Act that makes it possible for women and minorities to get bank accounts, credit cards, and have financial autonomy.

Prostitution is also illegal almost everywhere, with women penalized more than men. That prohibition increases trafficking, abuse and other risks when compared to jurisdictions with legal and regulated prostitution.

Meanwhile there are efforts by some men's groups to insulate men from their obligations towards former partners and children, whereby parents would share custody with no child support or alimony.

Women's health care, always chronically underfunded, is starting to disappear because doctors are leaving states where they could be charged for helping women obtain abortions. Planned Parenthood, which provides lots of services including contraception, is also under attack.

The improving position of women in society is under attack by conservative anti-DEI efforts with the result that the Department of War recently denied qualified women promotions. DEI policies are being removed from government and businesses, denying women and POCs fair consideration and opportunity.

Women are progressively losing bodily autonomy through attacks on abortion rights and women's health measures, endangering women. Women are being condemned to single motherhood in many cases while the feds are cutting SNAP and Medicaid to help them.

The nation's billionaires are pushing AI software that is being used to create non-consensual porn and revenge porn with few protections for women that are being harassed and shamed. Somehow this is allowed, none of the companies have faced any consequences.

Child marriage is allowed in something like 33 states, with red states accounting for all of the top 10 states where these marriages occur. The result is higher incidences of sexual abuse, as well as the loss of educational progress, early pregnancies, and psychological trauma.

* Women are over half the population, but are a fraction of Congress and the Senate, of governors, of CEOs. Conservative America likes the patriarchy, proving it every time an election rolls around. They will only vote for women who they believe know their place in fundamentalist America.

* The conservative men who run government, with the help of pliant women, are protecting the rich and powerful men who were Epstein's clients by hiding and destroying the files and doxxing the victims, while preventing a real investigation.

* There have been two women who have run for the presidency, both qualified and more qualified than Donald Trump. They were attacked for their laughs, their clothes, their suspect "DEI!" accomplishments, their femininity, their ability, their seriousness. Somehow they were too shrill and too weak.

* Instead of a female president, Americans chose a man who is a serial cheater, adjudicated rapist, friend and partner of Epstein, and all-around user and objectifier of women. A guy who boasted he would grab women by the crotch, and they let him do it because he was famous.

They don't like smart women, outspoken women, accomplished or ambitious women, liberated women, funny women, or women with the temerity to demand equal rights and treatment under law. The record is clear:

www.cnbc.com/2026/06/03/m... This IPO is theft, an upward redistribution of funds designed to rescue all of the underwater investors in X and Xai by forcing funds to invest. It shouldn't be legal. The market and its valuations are being managed to insulate the wealthy from economic trends.

cnbc.comSpaceX is worth less than half of its $1.75 trillion IPO target, Morningstar saysThe analysts see a wide range of possibilities around xAI and find its "economic moat indeterminate."

Not to mention the fact that SpaceX's largest customer is the US Government. It incentivizes SpaceX to spend billions on campaigns that tacitly support their company and for politicians to keep handing over billions to private equity to maintain a space program that used to be public. Corruption.
