Finished my pre-dawn run here in Puerto Vallarta. I want to show you how things stay in shape here. I ran past a man painting white railings before dawn. Good people exist everywhere. Keep that in mind while scrolling through all the social media noise. #PuertoVallarta #Mexico

Grateful to serve as a guest ambassador today at the Jesse H. Jones Award Luncheon hosted by the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston. It was an honor to be among the many respected leaders. I highly recommend joining the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston if you are in the area!

This past weekend in Mexico City, I took my first spin class (on the helipad of a 40-story building) and then ran a 10k along La Reforma. Great bucket list items. A small reminder: while you push hard every day, make space for your health and enjoyment. Live extraordinarily if you can.

Proud of my wife Ada in her field of Physical Therapy & Pilates. Her dad passed way before I got to know him. He would be proud that she’s worked with many of the top athletes in the world across sports, & especially with golf. Yet, she is easily accessible to everyone at www.bewellstaywell.net

I ran into this a few weeks back that provides insight into what is next for AI. Try it out and let me know what you think. Then consider what happens when AI not only knows your tone of voice, but can actually see your expressions. www.sesame.com/research/cro...

sesame.comCrossing the uncanny valley of conversational voiceAt Sesame, our goal is to achieve “voice presence”—the magical quality that makes spoken interactions feel real, understood, and valued.

Today’s politics & my wellness are related: I’ve traded empty political pundit show calories for dense print news. This has taken me off the outrage cycle and given me time to exercise and focus on change I can control. I highly recommend.

After a physical, I decided to prioritize health and did a 58-hour fast this weekend. The first 36 hours were easy; the last 22, not so much. Takeaways: Mild hunger fades fast. I realized how much of my day revolves around food. If you try fasting seek expert advice. Curious—anyone else done this?

Great conversation last night with Elliott Abrams at Houston’s World Affairs Council. I don’t agree with him on many broad topics, but really appreciated him answering my question about global and domestic authoritarianism. I learned quite a bit last night. Glad he shared his perspective with us.

Reflecting on my journey of renewal—a work-in-progress. In my 50s, I’ve realized life is finite. I focus on meaningful work, joy, health, and connections. I act on what I can control and let go of what I can’t. ChatGPT created this image to reflect my life in Mexico, Houston, and beyond. Spot on.❤️🤗❤️

J20: I am at peace. A lot of friends are struggling seeing DJT in office, lashing out, and having a generally difficult time. They have good reason. However, don’t let these macro events get you down. Life is too short not to appreciate what you have now. Don’t let others impact your positivity.❤️
