I didn't get a photo but today I saw Freya pancake for the first time since I got her. Being a rescue I was worried she'd never fully trust me but seeing her flatten out during head pets made me so happy!

Something that keeps happening to me at work is me asking a tourist if they have any food allergies, them looking at me like that's a word they don't know, me google translating and discovering their local word for 'allergy' is 'allergy' but with an accent. Like, come on now.

Freya update! She's coping with the heat, I did have to move her downstairs in a temporary enclosure a few times because it's cooler down there which she didn't love but was for her own safety. I'm looking forward to summer being over so as not to disrupt her further.

Working on another shawl. I wasn't going to but I've been having some med issues of late and don't have the energy to anything else right now. 🙃

So the headscarf I made a few weeks ago was a practice run for this bigger project I had in mind with sparkly yarn. Finished just now, very pleased with myself! Not bad for only my third completed project.

New hobby unlocked. I'm a crochetier now.

Freya update. She's getting a lot more chill about being picked up which is important for any future vet visits. She doesn't love it but she's relaxed enough that I was able to get a photo which is progress.

A rare photo of Freya allowing herself to be petted. This is the only angle she will currently accept pets from. I'm working on desensitising her to being touched in case it becomes medically necessary but it's slow going. This is progress though, a month ago she wouldn't have allowed even this.

Today I made tom yum soup no idea whether I did a good job or not because I've never had the authentic deal but it was very tasty so that will do.

I bought a soup maker last year one of my favourite adult purchases. Today I made chilli oil roasted brussel sprout and broccoli soup and it's really good and it was so easy I love you soup maker.

I have been eagerly awaiting Subnautica 2 and I had no idea this was going on. Awful. I don't understand how anyone can defend capitalism as a system.
