Like a lot of Gen X kids, I first got to know Robert Preston in the '80s as Centauri in The Last Starfighter. Victor/Victoria had been in heavy rotation on HBO, but wasn't quite as appealing to me at the time. WTBS is where I first saw The Music Man, then AMC introduced me to This Gun for Hire.

Fun Fact: Nancy's hair was supposed to turn completely gray during the dream monitoring sequence, but Wes Craven felt the wig looked too silly. So, they changed it to the more stylish single streak of white hair, which a lot of girls started to imitate at the time.
