Working on the Current Blocker in Sub-Species. Some underwater currents are too powerful to pass — deploy a blocker and clear the way forward. #gamedev #indiedev #SubSpecies

Loving the view from the rooftop bar of my hotel. We have arrived at Gamescom. #Gamescom #SubSpecies

New T-shirts all ready for Gamescom. Just worried that maybe the QR code is too small. 🤔

Updated the Sub-Species demo with a completely revised control setup. The old movement system worked, but players were fighting the controls. Now movement + propulsion are combined into the left stick and the sub feels massively more responsive. store.steampowered.com/app/4160530/...

What happened to this part of the ocean?

Creative Bloq recently shared the story behind Sub-Species — a 12-year development journey, multiple false starts, and the engine switch that finally made the project viable. It’s strange but rewarding seeing the whole path laid out like this. www.creativebloq.com/3d/video-gam...

One of the bosses you’ll face in Sub-Species.

One of the shooter enemies in Sub-Species. Showing the progression from wireframe to final in-game model.

Combat in Sub-Species is built around pressure and positioning, not speed. Being surrounded is part of the design.

One of the creatures you’ll run into in Sub-Species. Always liked how these ended up feeling like part of the space rather than a separate “enemy”. #gamedev #indiegames
