Scott "HowlingMines" Mines

Hey, my name is Scott. I go by HowlingMines on the internet. 💜 - I make TCG content for @tcgplayerofficial.bsky.social 💜 - I'm a tournament commentator 💜 - I'm gender neutral. I prefer He/They 💜 - You'll always have a safe space with me. Thanks for being here. DM me if you'd like to collab! 💜

I've got a wonderful evening planned with @z2sfab.bsky.social and Cody watching @criticalrole.bsky.social live! Booked these tickets fifteen months ago. Cannot wait! 💙💜

I have paid the price for all my travel. Sleep debt claimed half of my day off 😭

I've decided that I need to commission a full-blown color variant of Malice in the style of @ogreesetti.bsky.social stylings of me from World Premiere: Seoul. I need tokens to hand out if you're down? 👀

We've been playing Sink and Fate for seven years but apparently every deck is slop now because they play them. 😭

“Smash Palace: Chorus of Steel is an entirely different beast...” 👀⚔️ Scott “HowlingMines” Mines reveals the brand new Event Deck and all the chaos it brings to the arena! Check out the full reveal on TCGplayer: buff.ly/sp6SIYd

We don't do normal headshots in this household 🤣

Put on a show ❤️

Currently at @cdprojektred.com for the Cyberpunk TCG! Being given the full door and playing in a sweet influencer event tomorrow. Come say hello? 👀

That's right! I'm back in the booth for the @fabtcg.com World Championship 🏆 It's an honor to be trusted with this for a second year in a row! If you're playing the event and you'd like to help me put on a better show, please get in touch! Can't wait to see you there. #fabtcg

AWAY. WE. GO! www.tcgplayer.com/content/arti...

Made it to Denver! Now for the fun part: staying awake for another couple hours. 💀

Yet more time on the road for me! I'll be between Colorado and Warsaw over the next two weeks. Hopefully I'll see some of you around? 👀

Despite only being a commentator since Lyon in 2024, I have been in the booth at 19 out of 100 events (including Pro Tours that didn't steam the Calling) Almost one in five. How absurd is that? #fabtcg

For the first time in my life, I think I'm starting to fail to successfully keep up with all these games. Following 10+ TCGs when the perpetual hype machine doesn't turn off is exhausting, even for somebody doing this full time. I feel like there's a new release every week at this point. 😭

I just want to write an article that's like 2000 words about how the artwork in Usurp the Shadow Throne fucking slaps. Marvel Vis might be my favorite artwork ever printed. Become the Shadow Lord? Obscene.

Hey look, it's me again

I wrote an article to detail my Disney Lorcana tournament journey across the world, and why Emerald Steel was the perfect weapon for my triumph in Brazil! www.tcgplayer.com/content/arti...

Will have to wait until PQs to draft more Usurp because my 8/10 Levia pool could only 3-3 into the six Malice players I played. 💀

Alright, which of you idiots left an open packet of chocolate digestives next to me? What do you mean it was me?!

After 103 games with Viserai, the Forsaken... this is where I'm at. Full article now live over on @tcgplayer.com www.tcgplayer.com/content/arti... #fabtcg

@howlingmines.com

It will never become normal being referred to as "The Voice of Flesh and Blood" I appreciate you all very much ❤️

Posts about Ripple Away today: 7 Fear not, I'm one of them.

Writing about how I feel about the most recent rules update... complete with a little reminder I feel it's worth remembering. www.tcgplayer.com/content/arti...

I truly wish more people would be willing to work to fix their mistakes over burning the bridge and pretending they were never at fault. I miss old friends, man. I know I shouldn't want them in my life after treating me like shit, but here I am anyway. The shit 3am does to my brain.

Only four hours until I'm finally home. What a trip, eh? Thank you so much to everyone who came out and respected both my jetlag and con crud. I hope you enjoyed the show! Up next? Bilbao! #fabtcg

Bosh.

Somehow, I stumbled into this life. You're gonna have to force me out of it. See you again tomorrow ❤️

Is that you, Golden Tipple? Malice, Domina of the Dead is following in the footsteps of previous necromancers with a full rainbow of efficient ally-discarding attacks. Ominous Toll is looking deadly. #fabtcg

Wanted to let people know about the upcoming vlog content, so I made a silly thumbnail and waffled for a few minutes on YouTube. Honestly? I have kinda missed this.

I will never forgive you, @jjjscottnz.bsky.social :(

*sigh* I remember when card game players used to actually test new cards before panicking.

I already have a playset, and it’s the 6 year anniversary of when my sister was diagnosed with brain cancer, so I figured I’d do a little charity drive with mine. DM me here or on discord with proof of you donating to a brain cancer charity or research fund and I’ll do a drawing in a week! #fabtcg

You can do it. I promise. 💜

I had to.

Oh hey I know that writer 👀

Who needs more spoilers eh?
