I'm sure that Moscow Mitch supports this deal

Sen. Adam Schiff@schiff.senate.gov

We went from sanctioning Russian oil to buying it in three weeks. Instead of ending his disastrous war in Iran, Trump is now funding Russia's war in Ukraine. We used to hold dictators and autocrats accountable. Now our president negotiated a deal to fund Putin's unjust war.

I'm honestly surprised this wasn't the main event at his MMA circus on the WH lawn. Instead of a firing squad he could start actual gladiator fights.

BREAKING: The Trump administration announces they will be holding a live public execution for Americans to stream online… Thoughts?! 🤔

Trump’s second choice after “Super Intelligence” (SI) was “Extra Special Processing kNOwledge” but that only tested well in Nebraska

I agree that we shouldn’t impeach Trump. We should impeach Hegseth, Rubio, Alito, Thomas, Roberts etc but leave Trump as a lame duck. I don’t want to let Vance run as an incumbent and I don’t want Trump as a martyr. If GOP wants Trump gone they need to do it. Put him in jail after end of his term

Meredith Shiner@meredithshiner.com

I had not seen this clip where Tammy Duckworth advises Democrats to "not impeach anybody," "get back to work" and "allow" Donald Trump to "save face" and I would just like to remind the senator from IL that the federal government took 4,000 Chicagoans and murdered a 38-year-old father last fall.

If it were a bad flu season why do they keep implying it was a Chinese conspiracy?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

"I'm not downplaying a bad flu season, but ... "-- over a million Americans died, but Ron Johnson is still out here arguing that covid wasn't that bad and we didn't need mitigation measures

She’ll get a big campaign contribution and change her mind in a heartbeat.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

The same old Susan Collins charade. As soon as a controversial nominee or a bill has enough votes to pass, she announces she will vote no when it doesn’t matter. She never casts a deciding vote against Trump. Now she will claim this shows how she is so “independent.”

"A concentration camp, in its most basic definition, is a place where a targeted civilian population, not necessarily accused of a crime, is detained and at least some of their basic rights are suspended," writes @jwashing.bsky.social. "That’s precisely what’s happening in the United States today."

theguardian.comDon’t call them ICE detention centers. Call them camps | John WashingtonI’ve spent a decade reporting on immigration enforcement. The word ‘camp’ best captures the political function of these facilities

I'm disappointed that they seem to have relied on AI to write season 3 of #Silo on Apple TV. The amnesia trope to reset a new season and stretch content is the laziest form of writing.

Any corporation with full-time employees who qualify for SNAP should be fined double the cost of the cumulative SNAP benefits.

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

What do these companies have in common: -Amazon -Walmart -FedEx -McDonald's -Dollar General -DoorDash -Instacart They're all highly profitable, give their CEOs lucrative salaries, and pay thousands of workers starvation wages — making them reliant on SNAP and Medicaid.

He’s counting anyone non-white. These Nazis think anyone non-white (including Native Americans) aren’t “Americans” and therefore are here illegally.

These performative chuckledicks are annoying....snatch that fucker up, and put him under oath and have him repeat that nonsense...We have to keep calling out these inbred fuckwits. It's like whack-a-mole with lies..but we have to do it.

I’m surprised the prediction markets aren’t suing for fraud. This impacts their ability to set odds and an information leak could bankrupt them.

Many of the tactics used by ICE were learned from IDF occupation forces. I'm surprised we haven't started sending ICE and CBP to the West Bank to learn more brutality from them.

The Liberal BoJack@thelibbojack.bsky.social

It’s only a matter of time before we have IDF soldiers patrolling the streets of America. Revolution is inevitable.

I guess the whole "No Racism in Football" slogan only applies to the players on the pitch. Racism is thriving in the stands and governments of the teams.

The anti-black racism needs to end. The Argentinian team is all white Italians and no one bats an eye. 60%-70% of France team have one or more black parents & idiots say they aren't French. They are. Messi is 100% Argentinian just as Mbappé is 100% French. What matters is how we act, not skin color.

Serial killers have more restraint than ICE

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

And if you allow ICE to shoot people in an emergency, they will create an emergency to shoot people. #DisarmICE

Ironic, a cartoon character has more wisdom than the entire tRump clown cabinet combined

I don't know which is worse: selling the lie that opening fire in public is somehow safer than letting a car drive away or being stupid enough to buy that lie.

George Conway ⚖️🇺🇸@gtconway.bsky.social

“The vehicle attempted to flee the scene and, fearing for public safety, an officer discharged his weapon.” Fleeing. The vehicle was driving away. That’s murder. A legal resident of the United States is now dead. The threat to public safety is ICE. It must be eliminated.

Congressional pay should be tied to the minimum wage. Right now Congress is paid 11x minimum wage. Let’s peg their salary to 5x minimum wage so they can’t raise one without raising the other.

Quansah’s red was very much deserved. Olise’s yellow card was an atrocious call and FIFA’s rejection of France’s appeal really shows the corruption inherent Balogun’s reversal.

Mark Chadbourn@chadbourn.bsky.social

FIFA has banned England defender Jarell Quansah for two matches over his red card against Mexico. I guess we get the Prime Minister, the King, the Lord Mayor of London and Liz Truss to call them up to overturn it. That’s how it works now, right?

It appears there was just a proposal on top of the Empire State Building.

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

NEWS: Two people have climbed to the top of the Empire State Building antenna. They are holding a banner that reads: “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace”

Most of these people can only paraphrase the second amendment. Heaven forbid you expect them to read 26 others.

Blue Georgia@bluegeorgia.bsky.social

It's in the Constitution, under the 14th Amendment.

They don’t understand how insurance works at all. If we had healthcare without insurance those numbers would be different. We are trained to never use insurance unless absolutely necessary because it will always cost more in the long run.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Dr Oz on ACA "fraud" -- "Of the people who signed up, 40% never use the insurance. Let me ask you, John, you have health insurance -- do you use it once a year? In Obamacare right now 40% of the people ostensibly signed up never use the insurance ... we have a lot of fake people on the policies"

Just finished Alito's dissent in the mail-in voting case and... it's so stupid. Even for him. THERE'S NO LEGAL ARGUMENT. It just rests on a fundamental misunderstanding of the word "choice." It's not surprising that the man who overturned Roe doesn't understand what the word choice means, but Jesus.

93% of Susan Collin's campaign contributions from individuals came from outside of Maine. It's as big of a problem as citizens united. I wish we could ban *all* foreign campaign financing where "foreign" means outside the district. Why restrict foreign money only at a national level?

Tom Nichols@radiofreetom.bsky.social

"Nobody cares about members of Congress in other districts," which is why the PAC for the Democratic candidate for governor in *Rhode Island* is using AOC - and calling her "AOC" - in their ads Do I ever get tired of being right? Sometimes

“Afraid that you’re gonna call us racist” is just deflecting blame because you’re ashamed to admit you’re a racist.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Tom Emmer: "Minnesotans are so afraid that you're gonna call us a racist, you're gonna call us an Islamophobe. You know what? I'm done being even the least bit careful. Somalis don't assimilate. And if they don't assimilate, then they should go the hell back to where they came from."

Sounds like bone spurs run in the family
