#Canada, #USmid-terms Is Canada being set up to be "the fall guy" when the Republicans suffer a humiliating loss in the mid-term elections? A bit rich coming from a White House that met with Alberta Separatists and offered them a 1/2 trillion loan if Alberta voted to separate.

Why would anyone think this 27 yr old knew all that much about finance, crypto, etc? And didn't anyone think it was a bit weird that they had to buy 'crypto currency' to be able to invest in a 'trading platform'? If it is overly complex, be suspicious. Jail time for this hot-shot.

Why do some Americans still support Donald Trump? Answer: Many Americans finish high school barely knowing how to read. Reasons? a) Underfunded (crappy) schools in poor areas. b) 'Christian' charter schools. c) Home-schooling. For b) & c), no state regulations. So they teach what they want.

So you move to the U.S. and have taken out U.S. citizenship. But maybe you aren't REALLY a citizen when the rules change? And if you have children, does that mean they too REALLY aren't citizens either? Or maybe you can remain a citizen if you don't upset the government too much? 😒

The Incoherence of Chairman Trump: Trump decides to issue Presidental Pardons to 2 guys who ran a business removing polution controls on vehicles. a) Trivial offense? b) No sign of any contriteness by the pardonees. c) Anyone understand what Trump said here? d) Symptoms of dementia?

What else is new? Trump is handing out Presidental Pardons to a couple of men who removed the air polution controls on trucks. (Heck, who needs that?). Once Presidential Pardons were a serious matter, designed for exemplatory felons who deserved pardons. Now just a cheap campaign gimick. 🤡

I support removing his name from everything—except history books. He should be written about truthfully in the hopes it won’t happen again.

The U.S. seriously needs to enact some election donation / spending laws.

Wow, has Danielle Smith finally woke up to the game Alberta Seperatists have been playing? This has been pretty obvious for some time. So what sort of game has she been playing? Myself, if I happened to be living in Alberta, I'd be embarrassed to have had any part in this scheme.

Judges have already been complaining about the behaviour of U.S. Justice Department employees in court. This doesn't look like it is going to help matters. But hey, why bother going to the trouble of hiring competent people if you aren't concerned too much about "following the law"?

Just to get ahead of the nonsense that will spew from the White House: Seperatist PQ party won the election in Quebec yesterday. But they only got 30% of the vote. So only 30-40% or so are likely to vote Yes to seperate from Canada. So no, Canada isn't about to break up.

You wonder how fair the U.S. mid-term elections will be when you read these sorts of things. The only certainty is that if the Republicans get thrashed, Donald Trump will claim races where the Democrat won was rigged. But if the Republican wins, the election will have been entirely fair. 🙄

Fair "deal"? Or has the U.S. taken advantage of a weak, unstable, undemocratic government that it decided was in its interests to keep in power?

I'm sure many of us have been put in a situation where you just can't win. So you take your lumps and move on in some fashion or other. The 'buck' sure doesn't stop at the desk of THIS President, does it?

I suspect many of us at one time or another have found themselves in a situation where you just cannot win. Here, the proverbial 'buck' definitely doesn't stop at the Oval Office in the White House.

This is rather amusing. Trump starts a war with Iran. But . . . Well, they've run out of ideas as to "What to do next". i.e. Threatening and bombing Iran hasn't produced the desired results and there is no "Plan B".

Whoa! If you are travelling to the U.S., best be careful about what is on your phone, digital media, etc. Given how the current U.S. Administration is going after people for pretty flimsy reasons (Think: The Reflecting Pool Vandal), there is probably good reason to be careful.
