Tooting Common (strangely in #Balham!) walking over what used to be grass, the sound is a crunch rather than what you'd normally expect of a gentle brushing noise. Even more noteworthy is the optimism shown by the football pitches being marked out!! Stark contrast is the greenery of the trees...

Late to the party here but a few pics I took from watching Stage 4 of the Tour de France Femme, the Time-trial at ‎⁨Marsannay-la-Côte,⁩ Burgundy⁩ last week.

A #Buzzard flew over my garden this evening, not so unusual, but I'm in #Streatham, SW London...!! I've been here over 20 years and have never seen a Buzzard over London. Shot on my phone as no time to grab a camera with a zoom 🤨

So that's where all the Blossom goes...!! Interesting behaviour from the London Green Ring-Necked #Parakeets. Anyone seen this? I've seen Finches and Tits do it, maybe the Parakeets have learned from them...?

The emerging Streatham High Road cycle infrastructure is starting to show signs of good progress, I especially liked the landscape gardening that is also in its early stages of bloom...!!! 😆

Blindly followed the suggested cycle route on Google Maps to get to our chosen Tour of Britain viewing spot, not ideal on a #Brompton I gotta say...!! Those skinny, small wheels made for hard work. Would've been fun on a G-line though @bromptonbicycle.bsky.social #ToBM

It's pretty hard to try to explain to any but the keenest cycling fan why you'd go spend the best part of a day, making considerable effort, to see 5 seconds of sport... However, plenty do it, it's a good day out. #ToBM @itvx.com thanks for broadcasting it 🙏

Thursday, Stage 12 #LaVuelta goes up the Collada de Brenes, not high but long and quite steep. We were there in 2022, as were Remco, Julian and Tao who are now together in the #TourOfBritain where I hope to cheer them on again tomorrow... 😀🙄🌧️

A stark contrast between the #ToBM and #Vuelta25 conditions today!! I'm still distracted from all that I should be doing! Tomorrow though complete focus on Tour of Britain, going to watch Stage 3 and taking a brolly; it won't be for shade...!! ☔

Since the annexation of Eurosport by TNT, I’ve decided to go Cold-Turkey on cycle racing, have avoided any news of the races so far, figure it’s the best way not to get wound up by it… I do hope the TdF can be shown on free-to-air when it starts in Edinburgh 2027 though… #TourDeFrance

For me, watching the Pro Cycling races through the summer is therapeutic, for most of each race I have Disco+ or ITV on my iPad or phone, listening to the superb Comms of Carlton, Rob, Ned, I listen when out and about, headphones, whilst walking, driving (minimised). Gone... Not paying you WBS! 👎

#Stormzy respect him as an Artist not as a road user. Having illegally tinted windows isn't "cool". We use non-verbal indicators on the roads all the time and being able to see a drivers body language undoubtedly helps. Stormy, please help set an example not be part of the problem...
