5/ So what happened? Market Maker 1 had $500,000 to launch with. It put about $5,200 into the pool, 1% of its cash. The pool opened with under 30,000 coins, 0.003% of the supply. No one has explained why. Every expert we've talked to is baffled.

6/ With a pool that thin, $6 of buying moved the price as much as $7,400 of selling. In a normal launch those two are about equal. Groom Lake checked 668 other launches, and none came close. Put simply: it was over 1,000x easier to push the price up than to get out.
