The "richest country in the world" can't find a dime for the weak and poor, seems pretty angry and unhappy, and whines that the world is ripping them off. It's really weird.

It is a generational miscalculation. Canadians will hold a grudge against its rude and unreliable neighbour for a very long time.

It's not just the unprecedented uniqueness of how Donald Trump has antagonized Canada for literally no good reason. It's the fact that this was not a political watershed moment for people in the United States. Our society did not grind to a halt over this. Canadians will remember this.

FWIW, anyone I've talked to does not endorse this plan. It's still winter and the goal is not freeze people. Pressure through pricing, yes, but no to cutting it off. These are our neighbours.
