My petrol line trimmer finally necked itself after 12 years. Great innings for a Homelite. Shame they're not around anymore. Wasn't keen on buying a battery powered one. Having to recharge every X number of minutes shits me, so I bit the bullet and bought a new petrol powered Victa. Oh, she goes!

After today, I'm on annual leave for a week - and most of my plans got thrown out the door on Monday when the timing chains in my car nearly shat the bed. I've only been driving for six months and I feel somewhat lost without my car now lol.

Internet is still out... Taking "Pay What You Want" commissions to help cover the costs too, please leave a donation and DM me your character and I'll make you something in thanks. Probably a cute cartoon version like this because they're adorable. ko-fi.com/MeaKitty

Nothing shits me quite like an IT ticket I've submitted for a very specific request that ends with a solution completely unrelated to what I asked for. Ask if the company has a code for Google Enterprise to activate a work profile on my phone, get told to install Company Portal instead. Fuck off.

HI EVERYONE- I'm still Partner pushing and heading in the right direction again this month! 🤞✨ We still need a couple of streams with 75 average viewers to meet the qualifications! Any lurks, raids, shares, etc. would mean the world to me 💜 📺 twitch.tv/jasteria

idk if it or I am ready for it to be out there, but fuck it - bandaid off. hyperx64.com/hyperalerts This is my local-first/no cloud dependency stream alerts app for @streamer.bot, built in Next.js, Tailwind CSS, with an Electron wrapper. It's lightweight and uses around ~100mb of ram.

OH! and automatic update delivery - it's a bit eh atm but it works. Basically checks GitHub my app site for an updated json file for the version, then pulls the build artifact and runs a script to swap out the exe files. It does the job.

- one click integration with @streamer.bot: go to tools -> find your alerts.json file in streamerbot/data/alerts.json and patch (sb must be closed) - cache busting for OBS, meaning changes made while live are reflected - all the usual features I guess

Features: - Alerts for follow, sub, resub, gift sub, gift bomb, ko-fi donation, cheer, raid etc - each alert can be configured individually, or set with a global style - alert config is saved to a local .json file cont.

It'll never not be funny to me how easily some people are goaded into breaking the speed limit lol. Just sit at the traffic lights, and when it goes green, make sure you take off and hit the speed limit first - and then watch them fly past you. 😂

Woke up this morning, and watched the YouTube uploads of breakfast tv interview panels on the latest social media tirade from someone very clearly fucked in the head. The thing I didn't expect was to agree with a Nationals senator that Australia needs to be self reliant.

I don't understand the military or the chain of command. Like, how many levels of command do you need to tell someone to do something basic? Example: Stargate SG-1. SG team in trouble, running towards the gate. "Dial home! [That's an order!]"

What is the point of emphasising the fact it's an order? If they're already running to the gate to get away from the danger that affects them all? And why does a command need to go from Superior 1 > Superior 2 > Subordinate? Like, it subordinate can do something to save lives and not waste time...

Every time someone shows off their modern car to me, or I drive in one, I really appreciate my 2006 VE Commodore. There's so many things in modern cars that I hate. Swerve detection. Talking voices with personalities. Engine idle stop/start. Difficulty to self repair.

The most my Commodore has is a reverse beep sensor thing. That's enough. I was stunned that when I took my first vehicle on road test (VORT), I was encouraged to use the reverse camera on the head unit for reverse parallel parking. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of testing the individual?

I went to install a dashcam hardwire kit in my VE Commodore. After pulling the glovebox out and realising there's not really enough clearance for the voltage protection pack, I put the glovebox back together and routed the 12V power connector through the rubber trim. I then found two screws lol.
