I’ve seen this kind of thinking when I used to argue with white extremists on twitter some years ago-that white people are naturally racist and that if they are anti-racism then someone or something must be brainwashing them

So this is absolutely an attack on democracy, but I am struck by the sequencing, because it doesn't resemble - to me at least - the normal sequencing for an authoritarian takeover. But I think it makes sense given a conspiratorial and inaccurate view of where liberal support comes from. 1/

Elon always struck me as Ted Faro from the Horizon series. Ultra wealthy and unconcerned with the damage he's doing to the world, and even as the world was dying, Faro hid in a bunker and it's implied he had a sex cult

What's sad is that Twitter was possible one of the greatest concentration of brilliant people-from writers, artists, scientists, musicians, etc and he ruined it. Such a shame.
