Turning Michael Hayes into Dok Hendrix is insane if you think about it. A famous wrestler, who inspired two of their top guys (Shawn and Razor.) And they just gave him a new act. It'd be like now if they signed Darby Allin and was like "its Dashing Dave, a youtuber and podcaster"

So close to the end. I hope there's at least a eulogy at the end of the final episode. Or at the very least sell the rights to the podcast to the Morecambe Wrestling podcast, yet still retain control over the content.

Flair having a stoma fitted and being told "stop drinking" only to go "fuck that" and just drinking to the point of falling over regularly is some way to treat the illness known as alcoholism.

Dynamite Kid barely says anything on his shoot interview, but weirdly when asked "there's a story your niece wanted an insurance payout, so you broke her legs" he goes "yeah, that's true." Just say its not, Tom! Even if it is, why would you ever admit that?

Finished Dynamite Kid's book, and at the time it was excellent. Simply because there was few books out there and Dyno was such a myth you had to like it. But it's pretty shitty reading it back. His head was clearly out of it. Loads of stories where he gets Bret and Keith mixed up, which is madness.

The drop off from where he was is crazy. It's like imagine Will Ospreay in 2026. A guy who could leave AEW, go to WWE, got to New Japan, go anywhere and write his own cheque. That was Dynamite. Then 2 years after his WWF run, Brian Dixon is taking £30 of his £130 wages and skipping town.

It's mental to think how petty Vince McMahon was about the British Bulldog's leaving, that he told them to hand Matilda over at the end of their run. "I want the dog back" Davey Boy looked after it was about 2 years. And Vince was like "she's mine! Give it to me!"

"Every dog has his day" as Bret said in his book about Dynamite Kid. In Calgary, Dynamite Kid was so fucked out of his head on steroids and raging that when a Cowboy came up to him to acknowledge him, he punched the guy. So the cowboys pals gave him a proper kicking. Nearly drowned him in the toilet

That's before he left to go back to England. An ironic and fitting way, some would say, that his final act of his terrorizing the North American scene was to be handed an typical clichéd bully tactic of getting a swirly and a good beating.

If the Atlanta Falcons had this logo in 1994, Triple H would never have left WCW.

Atlanta Falcons@atlanta-falcons.bsky.social

So it seems like half of Bluesky (including sports “experts” who SHOULD know better) have been declaring this our “new” logo and comparing it to some less than appealing imagery. For the record, this is the original logo from 1966.

A lot of Dynamite Kid's stories just sound like he's trying to be the big man. In his book he says vs Demolition in Paris, the ref fucked up the finish so the Bulldogs made his life a misery and cut up his clothes. The ref was Tim White. Absolutely no chance they fucked with him.

What did Dave learn on Tuesday as he argued all day with with bot accounts and 14 year olds who got into wrestling because of the Bloodline?

“Anyone that stops learning on a Tuesday is starting to be out of touch on Wednesday.” - Big Money Meltz 🤼

Vince told Dynamite Kid "I want my babyfaces clean shaven, shave your beard off" as he was crippled with his back. Looking at the card of WrestleMania 3. Billy Jack, Hillbilly Jim, JYD, Jake Roberts, Koko B Ware, Brian Blair, Hulk Hogan. All had growth on their faces!

The most woke thing ever. Elmer Fudd looking after two Bugs bubbies as his gay lover Yosemite Sam fights off his crippling anxiety to go to work to put food on the table.

I liked it when they had to print a full page basically saying "well, we hear from the feedback nobody understands a word of this shit." It was only the 3rd issue!

Destrucity - tri-fold in its definition, therefore meaning 1. The name of the Galaxy in WARRIOR wherein the Terrain of Testament lies. 2. The Living of one's life in the Way of a Warrior according to a Warrior's 8 Disciplines. Those are as follows 1) Physical, 2) Beliefs, 3) Moment of Mastery, 4)

Jimmy Jacobs calling people who think it's the writers fault "marks" is hilarious. If that makes you a mark what does "I work every hour God sends so an old man can tear up my work and eat in front of me as starve?"

I genuinely think if Dave got into political twitter as much as he does with people who are a few thousand out from a 1980s wrestling attendance, we may find him dead with his fingers still attached to the keyboard. Its a different level of weirdos you dont need in your life.

Kill Tim Faust 💀@tbone.malware-virus.biz

i'm sorry, legendary wrestling reviewer Dave Meltzer, i made some assumptions about your politics that i shouldn't have

Keith Hart with a straight face, as serious as a heart attack said "when Michelle left Dynamite, we thought it was going to end one way. And that was a murder suicide." Considering what happened with Benoit, its mad to think that was what they were expecting in 1989.

Fin Martin, his editor, said last year that Dynamite Kid would get up out of his chair and go upstairs when they were doing the book together. Everyone assumed he was paralyzed him the waist down. But he could walk around and shit.

The story of Dynamite Kid is such a classic bully tale. Jacques Rougeau knocking his teeth out was that for him. He left WWF after it. When a bunch of cowboys beat the shit out of him in a Calgary bar, he left Canada. He had to be the big man, and if someone put him in his place, he was broken.

There's a Dynamite Kid documentary on Highspots, and they had to subtitle auld Tommy because not even his wife Dot can understand him (probably for the best.) But whoever subtitled his words would have had a better time transcribing Mandarin. Here he said "what a did with my body?"

I dont know about you, but if my friend killed his wife, I'd defend him by bullying a woman online. It's a good look ...

I cant look at her without thinking of the time she got bullied into giving money to a charity because she said Chris Benoit wasnt that good. That was fucking mental.

Jim Neidhart: "Well, Dynamite is English. They do their business and at the end of the day they go out drinking. That's just how it is." Well thank you for the lesson on day drinking, Anvil.

I cant look at her without thinking of the time she got bullied into giving money to a charity because she said Chris Benoit wasnt that good. That was fucking mental.

Dynamite Kid in his book always does this thing where he says "what I mean by that is ..." despite clearly knowing what he meant. "If you ask me Billy Jack Haynes is one of the hardest men. By that I mean he was tough." We didnt think you meant he was sponsored by BlueChew.

Like most bullies, Dynamite Kid never in his book buries those who everyone knows could have handed him his arse. "Bad News Allen, lovely man. Billy Jack Haynes, what a chap. David Schultz, cracking fellah! Honky Tonk Man, oh fuck off, what a twat."

Apparently Smith kicked his Dad in the nuts during an argument and ruptured one of his bollocks. Imagine how many kids he'd have had if he didnt do that? He'd have been popping them out until the Survivor Series 97.

"You'd walk in the dressing room and Big Daddy would shake your hand and smile, and say, 'Eeee Dynamite. It’s good to see you.' And then as soon as you'd gone out, he’d turn round to the other wrestlers, pull his face, and say, 'Nothin but a bastard.'" - Dynamite Kid.

"Brian Crabtree was a referee, well, actually, he was just a glorified idiot. After the match the villain would throw Brian off the rope, he’d do a cartwheel, land on his feet and then drop kick the villain. Prick." - Pure Dynamite, Tom Billington.

Going to take more than some shitty documentary to make a non-believer out of Bryan Alvarez.

After almost 60 years, the original 1967 video footage of 'Bigfoot' has been proven to be fake. Surprisingly, it was completely staged.

I dont know why, but regardless of how many times I hear it, I'm still stunned shitless reading about WWF counter suing Martha Hart because Owen breached his contract by her suing them outside Connecticut. What a shit company.

Can we get a proper TNA logo on that hat as well, while we're at it, Alex Murphy?

Fightful Wrestling @fightful.com

TNA President Carlos Silva held a meeting with talent on a recent set of TNA tapings & noted that the company would be working on getting a lot of deals done in the upcoming weeks, FightfulSelect.com has learned We were also told that a lot of contracts are coming up in December as well.

"Michelle Billington remembers having to change the bedsheets every morning, as they would be soaked in sweat. One day she asked Dynamite why he sweated so much in the night. He exploded. 'Because I’m in pain, ya fookin’ cow!'”
