Spent ages on Monday building a small kanban app with AI, then I wrote up a spec from the conversation. Tuesday I rebuilt the entire app from scratch using that spec with minor edits. I don't think I would have got to those specs anywhere near as quickly without working through it all first.

Looks like my most popular post of linked in is going to be me ranting about this. Devs do like a Portal post. I did spend ages trying to put red text on this screenshot so it's perhaps justified.

Steam looks like it is conducting age assurance checks on all gifts for any child in the UK, no matter the age rating on the gift itself. Tried to gift my son copies of Portal 1 & 2 (PEGI rating of 7 & 12) and son met with "Mature sexual content is not allowed in your country for users under 18".

Official response from steam support is as expected, useless: "For now, verification based on credit card ownership is the only path Steam currently offers for age verification under the Age-Restricted Material Online Safety Codes."

Honestly impressed by the onboarding experience and dashboard changes at cloudflare over the last 6 months or so. Used to struggle to find anything, but its gradually improving. Integration with other services also seems slick.

AI is being used by both candidates to tailor their cvs to roles and companies to filter out candidates from those roles. That was a comment from a number of agencies at a recent meet up. It seems like a zero sum game for both parties to me.
