The Moose still don’t have a goal in the 3rd period but more concerning they still don’t have a shot in the final frame with 4 minutes left. They pull Thomas Milic with a draw in the Wolves end. 6 on 4 trailing by two….and now it’s three. Chicago up 6-3 over Manitoba.

The Moose power play, which came into this game Top 3 in the AHL, hasn’t been able to convert on any of their opportunities. Even worse they had a chance to tie the game in the 3rd but give up a shorthanded tally. Wolves take their fourth two-goal lead of the game.

Jets prospect Danny Zhilkin continues to show off his growth after an excellent summer. He gets his 5th goal of the season in game 10. Last year he had 12 in 62. Great stretch pass by Alfons Freij and touch by Noah Gregor. Third time in the game the Moose get within one.

Lucas Wahlin gets in on the forecheck which leads to a turnover and then he neatly deflects the Isaak Phillips point shot to bring the Moose within one. He’s been such a good find. 4G 4A in ten games for Manitoba.

Nice time for Evan Nause to score his first ever AHL goal to bring the Moose within one.

With Jets responsibility over, time to turn attention to the Moose who are down 4-3 after 40 to the Wolves in a school day game. Looks like the story so far are special teams where 3 of 4 goals against Manitoba have come with man advantage. #AHL #MBMoose

I didn’t think the officials could call more penalties after last night’s 14 minors between the Wild and Moose. Somehow they managed it, calling 15 minors in tonight’s game. Not an easy game if you don’t play on either of the special teams. #AHL #MBMoose

Another excellent performance by Jets goalie prospect Domenic DiVincentiis, who made 34 saves in the Moose win. He has a .941 save percentage and a 2.02 GAA through five games, with two shutouts already matching his total in 34 games last season.
