It's #ScreenshotSaturday and there are now 186 hand drawn and unique items in my game. In 'Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot' you build and command your own party of 10 Beardlings in a chaotic mix between Auto Battler, Strategy, and RPG. #indiegames #gamedev

I released the Steam page for my new #gamedev project earlier this year and it just crossed 17k #wishlists! 'Dwarves: Idle Battles' is a physics-based auto-battler where you create powerful synergies across 8 Beardlings with unique classes, talents, and items. #indiegames

Mountains? Check. Forests? Check. Snow? Absolutely. My dwarves need somewhere to dig, drink and get lost. So I built a procedural hexworld generator placing 3072 hextiles in milliseconds resulting in countless worlds to explore. #ScreenshotSaturday #gamedev

Further improvements to the hexworld generator. It samples fractal Perlin noise for elevation, moisture and temperature and then decides which hextile to place in each location. I then added some further logic for additional objects like snowy mountains, hardwood/softwood, etc. #gamedev #indiegame

I've always dreamed of making games that players could spend hundreds of hours playing. Seeing people put 500+ hours into 'Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot' is a dream come true. #gamedev #indiegames #Steam

I wanted the fun part of Diablo/PoE: buildcrafting without the grind, while playing multiple classes at once. Your 8 dwarves fight and loot automatically while you obsess over the perfect build. 16 classes. 140+ skills. Countless legendary loot. #ScreenshotSaturday #gamedev #indiegames #dwarves

New inventory/equipment concept: - Each item has an element - The character is assigned the element shared by most of their equipped items - Ties are resolved using an item type priority list Additionally, the borders indicate the rarity of the item visually. #gamedev #indiegames

I’ve always loved tinkering with builds, but most games give you a single class with a single tree. So I’m making a game where your party of 8 loots and levels, while you obsess over the perfect build. Currently I have 16 classes and over 140 unique skills. #gamedev #indiegames

It’s #ScreenshotSaturday, so here’s a look at a few Talent Trees from my upcoming game, Dwarves: Idle Battles. Inspired by WoW: TBC, where every point mattered. 31 Talent Trees planned for the full game. 16 for the demo. I’m 11/16 done. #gamedev #indiegames #indiedev #pixelart

I thought it would be fun if each class in my game had their own Skill Tree. Now I have to make 46 of them. The player only has access to 24 at a time, though. I don't want to overwhelm the player. Here is the preview for the Priest class, which branches into Cleric or Druid. #gamedev #indiegame

"The game is just a vessel for the Skill Tree." I’ve always loved tinkering with builds, but most games give you a single Tree and no reward while theorycrafting. So I’m making a game where your party loots and levels, while you obsess over the perfect build with 24 Trees. #gamedev #indiegames

What game has your favorite Skill Tree? I love how Last Epoch manages to offer tons of build variety without making its skill systems feel overwhelming. I’m currently looking for inspiration for the 'Paths' system in 'Dwarves: Idle Battles'. Show me your favorites! #gamedev #indiegames
