I really enjoy when we get one of these “day after the rapture” days. I like to tell people who seem surprised they’re still here that the rapture did indeed take place, but they got left behind with the rest of us and should reconsider their life choices.

Please consider not using the word “arrest” to describe what ICE is doing. To arrest is to take them in so they can go through a trial with a lawyer to decide if they have committed the crime of which they are being accused. To go straight from an LA Home Depot to torture overseas is a kidnapping.

Texas is going to gerrymander 5 more congressional districts. Democrats are torn between wanting to fight and win and wanting to play fair. Can they do both? Montana’s at large district has 542k people (CA is 761k). If all CA districts had 542k, there would be 79 of them, +27. No gerrymander.

It was a Friday night tradition. Mom served donuts or cherry pie, always coffee. “Damn fine cup of joe”. The last episode landed on my birthday, and we went in costumes to the Saddle Peak Lodge to watch it and meet cast members. I’ll always be grateful for the joyful memories. RIP David Lynch.
