the fact that legislators are trying to say that computers are devices that require id verification and tracking to use should put fear into EVERYONE. FIGHT AGAINST THIS.

Harry Potter money directly harms trans people. JK Rowling openly uses her profits to fund anti-trans groups. These groups are so successful in stripping trans people's rights largely due to being so well funded. There is a direct line from money spent on Harry Potter to trans people being harmed.

I think that Adobe lied about cancelling Animate to cash out cancellation fees, then regain all the lost users by saying ‘nevermind’, because they know that most will go back to the software they’re familiar with.

They are treating Grok like a human, without giving it the accountability of a human. If a human apologised when asked by Person 1, then retracted the apology when asked by Person 2, then photoshopped Person 1 naked when asked by Person 3. I don't think the take away would be the apology.

This anthropomorphized framing of Grok in the media (claiming that Grok has "apologized") only serves the interests of these tech companies. It gives the appearance that some entity has taken responsibility for what is happening, when in reality no one has.
