The climate crisis isn’t “coming.” It’s here. Record heat. Deadly floods. Vanishing ice. Collapsing ecosystems. We don’t need more warnings. We need courage, systems change, and action at the scale of the emergency. #ClimateAction #ActNow

I have a new book coming out next year with my co-editor Ranjan Datta, 12 chapters from Indigenous scholars from around the world and one settler scholar, working with women in Greenland @anthropologie @archeology @TEK

It happened. A friend was in Denver supporting them. And, of course, the Denver Police Dept got heavy handed illegally declaring "unlawful assembly", pushed people around and threatened arrest. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL to protest per our rights under the CONSTITUTION! www.yahoo.com/news/politic...

After a long day of fieldwork counting beats weighing beats, collecting data at one of my field sites I’m relaxing with the dog on my lap and a cat on my head lol #cats #dogs #pets #kittens #furbabies

Lived here for eight years and finally got out to this beautiful park on the shore of Lake superior today. It’s only about 25 minutes from my house but I think I’m going every week now at least once.

So beautiful and so very lucky to have seen this amazing being

I was fortunate to spot this Great Blue Heron fishing along the banks of Central Park's Harlem Meer this morning. A gorgeous bird in a gorgeous setting! 😎😎😎 #Heron #CentralPark #birdsseenin2026

This is Beily. He was miraculously found alive under rubble 29 days after the Venezuela earthquakes. He has since been reunited with his 11-year-old human Victoria and is expected to make a full recovery. 14/10 for all (TT: fuerzavzla1)

A retired Air Force colonel named Matt Orlando just beat a sitting Republican for mayor of Chandler, Arizona. By 17 points. In a seat the GOP thought was safe. This is what the ground shifting looks like. 👇 www.dworkinsubstack.com/p/great-news...

Billie Holiday, one of the greatest jazz and swing singers, died this day 17.7.59 aged 44years. A tragic life, but what a voice. 👍🎙️

Three years ago, I started planting milkweed along the side of my walkway. It’s now about 3 feet wide and 14 feet long. Last year we had a few monarchs visit. Here is a few pictures of this year‘s first monarch butterfly visitor to our milkweed patch..

Growing food for students on campus is a joy many spaces can be put to good use. Algoma University corn circle and raised bed gardens tended by myself, my assistants and the AUSU student body. 31 mounds of corn beans and squash, and numerous raised beds with all kinds of veggies.

It was a beautiful day to work on the corn circle garden with 31 mounds of corn beans and squash, and the Algoma university student garden raised beds. Everything is now planted. We took a tour through the food. Forest to check on a few areas. had a great day.
