It's a serious question. Is there a LAW that requires us to be sad when a very, very, bad, contemptable, despicable man dies? Is there a law enacted by some governmental entity? If there is, show it to me.

If Matt Gaetz paid for sex with consenting adults, that should not disqualify him to be Attorney General. If he did so with an underage girl, that is obviously disqualifying and criminal. Being a Trump-loving, MAGA douchebag is the reason he should never be confirmed to anything.
