NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Sen. Susan Collins helped steer millions in federal defense contracts to Navatek, whose CEO illegally funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign. The FBI sought to launch a probe and was eyeing Collins and other lawmakers. Then Trump gutted the unit in charge. THREAD 🧵

The videos can't capture the scope of what's happening. ICE is out of control. ICE accosted a man on his way to a medical appointment, handcuffed him, and forced him back to his house. Agents conducted a warrantless invasion of his home, where his 3 minor US citizen kids lived

Prescription drugs are about to get even more expensive. Trump is coming for Medicare Part D subsidies, which try to keep drug prices down (they're still too high.) We desperately need Medicare for All. No parts A, B, C, or D. No premiums, co-pays, deductibles. Just healthcare when you need it.

One of my less popular beliefs is that you aren't serious about dealing with the problem of our big tech oligarchy if you completely disregard capital punishment for C-suites and founders. Thiel, Zuckerberg and Musk are all guilty of treason by any reasonable definition.

The leftist approach to issues of crimes and public safety should be to search for the solutions that burden the public the least (esp vulnerable communities) & avoid a "tough on crime" mentality that empowers the state. In this case (as many others) the solution is smarter infrastructure.

This is the worst take I've ever seen.

If you design the infrastructure right, perhaps the most surprising and exciting results are that the need to set a speed limit in the first place becomes negligible and you not only get rid of the need/justification for traffic cameras but also for the majority of traffic *cops* 🫨

Even thin blue line types like the idea of law enforcement having to spend less time writing tickets for traffic violations and having more time to take on serious crime, right? ...right?

If you build streets right, the speed that feels right is a safe speed, accidents are harder to get into, and when they do happen they aren't as bad. This means narrow streets, roundabouts, less sharp turns, and less competition between different traffic flows. And a cap on personal vehicle size 😅

The Democratic Party’s mega-donor class is horrified by the rising tide of progressive populism. Too bad. It's time they recognize the real choice is between democracy and tyranny, between an economy that works for all or one that works for a small sliver at the top.

Corporate donors are perfectly fine with either Haley Stevens or Mike Rogers. Why? Because either of them would be a reliable vote on all of their priorities, which is using that Senate seat to monetize us at every turn to get what they want and not what we need.
