@techconnectify.bsky.social sitting here in surprising sunny weather listening to all the ambient car noise, I wonder if you've considered doing a video about decibel meters / sound pressure level monitors. I doubt my app is terribly accurate but if not, why not? Are there consumer DB meters?

Oh hey, it's the anniversary of the Reichstag fire. Seems like there's a lesson in there somewhere.... IYKYK

@mark-carney.bsky.social thoughts? Maybe it's time we protested this.
That's an armoured vehicle sold to ICE by a Canadian company btw. Some of us were furious about the sale of such vehicles to Saudi Arabia under Harper/Trudeau, and we are equally furious about this under Trudeau/Carney.
Stellar piece by JMM who I think probably knows more about city planning and governance than a chunk of the working planners and politicians out there.
New from me at TVO, on recent news from the province on the housing file (and why all of it is, literally and provably, years too late) amp.tvo.org/article/analysis-is-2026-the-year-ontario-will-finally-get-to-work-taking-on-the-housing-crisis
This is basically exactly how @pluralistic.net.web.brid.gy Cory Doctorow said it would work in his really excellent novel Attack Surface. craphound.com/category/att...
