finished the 2.0 of turing complete. very good game. especially building the fast adder and the divider i learned a lot. i was a bit disappointed at the later assembly levels, they were pretty simple and small.

why does my boring business hotel have trans-colored walls and egg-shaped mirrors???

I upgraded my electrolysis setup from a (dying) 9V battery to a lab power supply. The higher voltage allows for a consistent higher ampere. Especially the consistency is great because i now can set the amp while not using it and still be relatively accurate.

First i tried a pretty cheap power supply, but i think that one leaked some of the AC voltage onto the negative pin when the circuit was open, which was a bit uncomfortable. Inserting the needle does not get easier if a tiny bit of AC is on it!

should i debug the C++ library that just segfaults immediately or rewrite the little stuff i need into python?

don't have a real oscilloscope, but the startup looks acceptable to me.

i am thinking about having a parallel transistor to avoid the start-up response, but then i think i still have the transient (which may even be worse than the start-up) should i just accept the startup? it's fast and at 1mA it doesn't even overshoot, so maybe it's not that bad??

it says "bottom view" on the datasheet.... i was being extremely stupid

the lm334 chips i've ordered seem to have the opposite pin-out of the datasheet. (or i am extremely stupid)

with it now reversed it seems to keep the current pretty well with different output resistors. 100ohms poti is pretty good and i am accurate to about 0.05mA. will upload the schematics once i actually used it. (this is for diy hair electrolysis btw)

came out to my mum. went pretty good (as expected) but she still said a bunch of weird stuff (as expected)

the mandatory ai training course at work uses an ai voice and it breaks down on abbreviations i think i am the first person listening to this shit

so i just booted my work machine and it didn't ask me for a password, just straight to desktop. windows getting worse to use is one thing, but this...

my brother got me a old rack mixer from a bar. now i only need a ton of cables and then i have a audio setup completely independent of my computer.

left leg injection completely painless, mostly i don't even feel it. right leg it bleeds and hurts every time. do i need to use my left hand for the right leg?? i don't get it

i have 50 hours in this bombe game and yesterday i noticed the hint button (very important) and now i noticed the next level button (pretty important) it is soooo chill now

i probably won't cut out parts of the chassis and instead just put a couple usbc in the drive bay and one ethernet in the ethernet port. other ports would stay empty. maybe also fill the usba ports, idk yet

also i don't know how hard it would be to do a custom usb hub. maybe there are open source ones and i could just rearrange the ports? but that can also be a later improvement.

so i did a full reset after 15 hours and have almost reached my previous levels, but with like 50 rules instead of 200. variables are kind of a good thing

fuck i have exams i like three weeks

best feature of this game is that i can write comments. like yeah i want actually do want to write what my rules do thank you very much

hi everyone. this is the video game Bombe. you should definitely only play it if you are excited by the prospect of eventually understanding whatever the fuck is going on here

slowly starting to understand how to work with an stm32. You don't write software, you read the manual long enough to find one obscure hardware function that doesi what you want. if you don't find an exact match you have to combine multiple.

if my currently planned timer cascade actually works, i won't have any really timing sensitive code anymore. i think thats pretty cool

and another that shows if the UI works can be implemented as a static website that just says no

someone should build a website to receive alerts when github is up
