Currently cooking what my dad requested for Father's Day. I don't think he can eat any of it, but he will try. He wanted banana bread and stuffed shells. He had a really good day yesterday, but not so much today.

Dad Update: The doctor told us today that my dad's cancer has spread significantly. It's now in his ribs, sternum, and not only in his brain, but also in the bones of his skull. They want to move him into hospice care, but we've decided to do hospice at home.

We're not entirely sure when he'll be coming home, but the doctor said it's only a matter of time. Please take the time to be with the people you love. None of us knows how much time we have left with the people who matter most. ❤️

I have a little update on my dads health. he woke up yesterday morning with breathing issues. It seems like he has BAD pneumonia, being the stubborn mule he is we could not get him to agree to go to the hospital yesterday but he will be going as soon as the ambulance gets here.

Update on the update from yesterday regarding my dad's cancer. The mass in my dad's brain is bigger than they thought it was and there are 2 of them not 1. It doesn't look good, but no one is giving up.

It's time for another update on my dad’s health. His lung cancer has gotten a little worse, and now he also has a mass in his brain. He’s going to radiation next week, then he starts on another new trial to see if we can get this under control. #FuckCancer

Who remembers the website Shelfari? god I miss that site. Especially the way you can go to your own bookshelves and see the books you've read and what you rated them. I have been wanting to make my own version, and I think this is the year I do it.

Still waiting on Amazon to fix the damn UI on Goodreads. If & when I remember to use it, I want to run headlong into a brick wall. ok, that's a bit overdramatic, I know, but still they've updated the site without fixing issues we've all bitched about once or twice in the last however many years.

It is something I can do when not trying to fill every waking moment with the things I enjoy do. That will keep me distracted from the hell scape that is the world. Don't get me wrong, the current sites have their good points, but I just miss the aesthetics of Shelfari.

Just got around to watching The Crown, I know I'm late to the game as usual, but I am 5 episodes in and it is so good. As all good writers do, I pull from the things I consume, and frankly, this show is coming in handy.
