None of this shows us where covid came from. But 20 years of intelligence agencies quietly cosying up to coronavirus research changes how you read everything history. New piece: the secret non-secret history of coronavirus research. 🧵 overmatter.substack.com/p/the-secret...

Albania - Malaria Prior to World War II, Albania was the most malaria ridden country in Europe, with 50% of the population infected in most coastal & river regions. Wiping out malaria helped raise the average life expectancy from 38 years in 1938 to over 64 years by 1960. Think about it!

VERY high in the Andes of Cusco, Peru is the 'Montaña de Siete Colores' ("Mountain of Seven Colors") also called Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain. It captures in stone a collision between the Nazca & South American plates that formed the Andes, with stratified layers squished sideways.

Rant! The world feels like it's going to hell in a barrel of monkeys! SARS-CoV-2 kicked things off, then Myanmar, Sudan, Ukraine, now Iran and the Gulf exploding, spook riddled social media algorithms, agenda driven "science" pushing flawed papers, woke rage, smartphones drowning in digital hate.

I had first-hand encounter with confiscated pangolins at a rescue center run by Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (svw.vn) One pangolin had to have its left hind leg amputated due to an injury caused by a snare It was a privilege to take part in a feeding session and witness the animals in action 5/

I felt I had to set the record straight. Did I not have reservations about speaking out? Of course, I did. I was terrified. I gave careful thought to the consequences of speaking out, such as facing the kind of bully and smears👇 29/

Here’s the backstory behind the making of Blame in response to @angierasmussen.bsky.social During shooting in Thailand,I was shocked by Daszak’s fast & loose with facts, his refusal to acknowledge his conflict of interest,& his denial of his gain-of-function res in collaboration with Wuhan lab 25/

By framing the covid origins controversy as a left-right issue, labelling all lab-leak supporters as conspiracy theorists, & failing to scrutinise the conduct of scientists, Blame misses the mark by a wide margin—risking further polarisation of the debate & deepening public distrust in science 24/

Kristian Andersen: "Natural viruses mutate rapidly when placed in tissue culture. SARS-CoV-2 does not, strongly implying it already evolved there." Andrew Rambaut: "Lab passaging might also generate this mutation."

5. the most important issue is that it was revealed that the wiv had pangolin samples in its labs in 2019, which they admitted foolishly in a 2023 paper. From the odni report we know they were working with pangolin coronaviruses pre-pandemic although they did not publish ANYTHING about that.

3. Briefly I showed that pangolins are good hosts for BAT coronaviruses with a lot of supporting evidence. the problem was that the pcr assays used early on were not reliable for detecting the coronaviruses. there were also antibody tests which worked better.

4. What we know The smuggled pangolins were infected with multiple coronaviruses, although we only know about the ones that were published of course. One or more of them were infected with a GD pangolin coronAvirus and a 12 nucleotide match for sars cov 2's FCS,

Wrote this earlier but reposting now that the lab leak hypothesis is gaining ground. There were multiple interlocking mistakes that led to disaster in 2020. If it was Gain of Function research that created SARS2, the lack of airborne precautions guaranteed that it would spread.

Interesting comment on @mikepompeo Dec 5 lab leak tweet By Jon Myers: "As an intelligence officer for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs in 2019, based on message traffic, I briefed that it came from the lab. There were no objections to that. Then, months later….the story changed. Why?"

Flo D'Arc's rather pathetic little Blue Sky counter intelligence list 😅 has been leaked on X! So you can now duly follow all the accounts named in the images, in the comforting knowledge that they are most likely critical thinkers, just like you, but not like Flo...

True. We systematically looked at medication-related deaths in coroners' reports and found that information sharing was poor, including the responses of organisations. Preventing Future Deaths from Medicines: Responses to Coroners’ Concerns in England and Wales. Drug Safety 2019; 42(3): 445-451

I monitor coroners’ reports on preventing future deaths and one of the most common issues is poor information-sharing between different parts of the NHS, or between the NHS and other services. Over and over and over again, patients dying because the right arm didn’t tell the left arm their needs.

... but so too was its potential as a bioweapon. So during WWII, methods of bulk production were set up at Camp, then 'Fort' Detrick. The same purification tech went into modern Botox.

Of course DoD ignores militarization of biological technology and GOF research by the United States!

Unfortunately he is not on Bluesky; but Richard Ebright is a brilliant scientist who has been writing about the hazards of biowarfare for over 20 years. Here is his letter to the editor in Nature from 2002, titled: “Bioweapon agents: more access means more risk” www.nature.com/articles/415...
