Seeking some advice/guidance. There is a cat that comes into our garden to sleep during the day. Can’t get close to it as it will run away. Have left food out but doesn’t take it. Any concerns from cat people? Could be normal behaviour (we are a dog family so don’t know). Genuine concern.

It must be 80s o’clock time and a little nugget of poptastic pleasure. The hugely underrated #RedBox with the glorious “For America” . Posted as I have my eye on the cd box set collection for Xmas…. Anyone remember them? #musicsky youtu.be/p_f0VGYW6Ns?...

Perhaps, my fav musical style, a wonderful sounding loveliness hiding very dark lyrics. How Conor, aka Bright Eyes, didn’t get wider recognition I don’t know, but the fact a few children were name after this song is the best praise. Enjoy… #musicsky #brighteyes youtu.be/lNNMi5_XYEg?...

The older I get the more I love this album (though I will always love Colour It In more). A blast of a track, the self titled lead single from the album with some of the best lyrics from the last decade. #musicsky #maccabees youtu.be/3Kt3aN6Ey8w?...

Once we slip into September then the autumnal feeling comes and my mood falls into a more #folk state of mind. This ident remains one of my all time, a UK TV channel (E4)…enjoy (Weird fishes, Burn the witch & There There all by #Radiohead all get played during this season).

One of the joys of nature is a tree full of finches - they swop down, cautiously take some food then move on a flock. Picture doesn’t do it justice but wanted to share.

Just love being on the coast, frees the mind and you take in the marvel of nature.

Always a joy to catch up with #lotterywinners on the festival circuit. A surprise #TheBeatles cover (& Johnny Cash) in the set where the band overcame dodgy sound equipment, electric shocks & did earpieces. Anyone interested, recommend “ART” album, you won’t be disappointed. #musicsky

#Elvana was a band I was interested to catch this summer and they were a lot better than I thought. Greatly entertaining, loads of fun and really get the crowd going. A festival pleaser and a guilty pleasure! #musicsky

As #TheSundays are re-releasing their 3 albums, I recommend seeking out 2nd album, Blind, for the US version as it has this glorious Stones cover on it (not on UK). Debut, “Reading, Writing & Arithmetic” essential purchase & “Static & Silence” well worth it. #musicsky youtu.be/x7GE90n6XX8?...

Catching up on posting some memories from the summer. The wonderful wacky wizard world of #Henge was something I wasn’t expecting. Part Prodigy, party rave, part si-fi, part message, part nuts but total fun! #musicsky

Many (many) years ago I bought “Morningrise EP” by #slowdive, I think their second release, but it was perfectly formed dreamlike soundscape that made a fan of me. Still a great band to catch live & go check them out if you love #shoegaze #dreampop or great music to drift to. #musicsky

Finally, after so many years, I got to watch #TheCure live. This is from Wythenshawe last month where the band were at the top of their game and how does Robert still sound amazing?! Got 19 songs played on my set list wishIist. Hope they do one final tour for the 50th anniversary. #musicsky

For #TheCure fans getting ready for two great festival performances this weekend… #BlackKids with their infectious homage… #musicsky youtu.be/vaa4eGOtrTg?...

There simply isn’t enough love for the wonderfully glorious #PaleSaints so if you’re a bit partial for soundscapes, #shoegaze #dreampop or just dam fine music then go find some lost classics. #musicsky youtu.be/XiSKxvmd1bg?...

#CDintheCar Best of Rev & makers returned though I need to get round to playing the new album. The wonderful Moose with their second album is an indie folk mix of loveliness. Try “around the warm bend”, “I wanted to see you to see if I wanted you” or “meringue” #musicsky

#CDinthecar Blasts from the past. #Marxman with Sinead O’Connor on “Ship Ahoy” an essential track. The glorious #Cud with their best album (try “Love in a hollow tree”). #TheRifles rocking debut (“spend a lifetime” played at our wedding). The excellent #Sugar (try “changes” ). #musicsky

#shoegaze #newmusic from #deary with their debut album. Got huge hopes for this album hence #vinyl & #cd. #musicsky #vinylcommunity

#CDintheCar First plays for #Morrissey & wonderful Help2 album. Monsters of pig alley the clear standout on Mozza’s album tho “zoom zoom”, “you’re right, it’s time”’ & “Lester Bangs” are up there. Help2, whilst too many songs melt into each other, some belters inc. Damon Albarn. #musicsky

#morrissey at the o2 London. “I know it’s over” was stunning “There is a light..” epic What a wonderful huge return to form new song “Monsters of Pig Alley” is lyrically and musically top draw. No one is right on everything & I disagree on his “cultural” view but good to hear he has a voice.

#CDinthecar Out and about this week so: #BaxterDury 2025 stunner incl. track of the year #Reverend best of is packed with quality (No soap in a dirty war, HwCotWorld) #ArcadeFire suburbs (Funeral still my fav) #Morrissey debut (US version) still sounds great. #musicsky

#CDintheCar Last one for the year. The live #starsailor album is wonderful & includes a great cover of “Jealous Guy”. #pulp a great return & their best since TiH. #musicsky

Such sad & terrible news. RIP Perry Bamonte. #TheCure
