I was nudged by a colleague on LinkedIn asking why I was anonymous on #Bluesky. Because some folks have problems with appropriate boundaries. I've been DM'd by too many scams and requests for $. If you want to use my photos for non-commercial purposes (with credit to me) reach out. I usually say yes

#Connect2Nature #Birds #BirdoftheDay For today's Alt theme of #Black&White I thought I would submit this artsy experiment of a high key edit of an African Cape Penguin. Technically this is a photo, but you need your imagination to fill in the blanks. #Nature #Photography

#Connect2Nature #Birds #BirdoftheDay #Larus Why one must keep the camera handy. This Ring-Billed gull landed right in front of me, showing off its fresh catch, noping I had some french fries to make his lunch Fish and Chips. #Nature #Photography

#Connect2Nature #Birds #BirdoftheDay #WingsOpenNotFlying Just a reminder that Canadian Thanksgiving is next weekend, and many of us, like this Wood Duck will have to stretch after a big meal to make room for pumpkin pie. #Nature #Photography

#Connect2Nature #Birds #BirdoftheDay Today's themes are #Seabirds and #Airborne I took this one in Costa Rica with a travel camera that wasn't quite up to the zoom level to get it as sharp as I like. I do like the wing position. #Nature #Photography

#Connect2Nature I do shoot subjects that are not birds... including this White Rhino spotted on a trip to South Africa. The horns of these wonderful gentle giants is their greatest liability due to the pervasive poaching. Kudos to the rangers who work dilligently to protect them. #Wildlife

#Connect2Nature #Birds #BirdoftheDay #BirdBuddies I took this shot way back in 2014. I had just got my 150-600mm "bazooka" lens and was eager to try it out. This Canada Goose and Mallard were chummy. I used to watermark my photos back then. Don't now. Too much fuss. #Nature #Photography
