Morning folks. Last (visit) work of the year for Ionactive! Just off to The Christie Manchester to complete a linear accelerator critical examination before the Xmas break.

Linear accelerator critical examination in the medical sector this morning. Big replacement project on the go at the moment, lots of kit to check out! Another one Friday.

'Simply having a wonderful Christmas time' in a Premier Inn restaurant on the 21 November 2024 should be banned !! Just my humble opinion 😌.

ionactive.co.uk/resource-hub... Day job related post :) / Anyone interesting in #radiation safety / #nuclear #safety and similar might find the following free resource our website interesting. X-ray tube, inverse square, ALARP, radiation shielding and other widgets. Nicely interactive!

Delayed neutrons in a nuclear reactor - a little exercise in differential equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. An article I produced for @ionactive.bsky.social ionactive.co.uk/resource-hub...

My work first part of this week will be somewhat cherenkov blue! Working with radioactive Cobalt 60. Never get bored of viewing this under several meters of water.

Afternoon all. Just checking in here. Will be posting more in coming weeks as I gravitate from 'that other place'. Hello to new followers, and those folk I have known for years on X and other platforms. Have a great weekend 😀

I am an expert at not a lot. But I try. Used to cook #curry related foods everyday for years. Then as I got older my enthusiasm, like many of my hobbies, was tested ! So tonight I thought damn it, a chicken leg madras curry it will be! Nothing special or clever. Into the oven!

First Post here. Quite a diverse range of interests, both work related (Ionactive) and hobby related. Going to try this out as X is quietly doing my head in ! Will hunt around and see who is here later !
