📔 Arch Linux Diary - Entry #2 Hybrid GPU: fought hard, lost gracefully. Integrated GPU → disabled. Dedicated GPU → full-time duty. Compromise achieved. (For now.) #archlinux

If your ad disrupts the user experience, you’re teaching people to resent your brand. Annoyance isn’t a brand value. Just saying. 🤷‍♂️

Situation: Your timeline is full of people at amazing tech events, posting keynotes, and posting "come say hi!" selfies… Meanwhile, you’re stuck at home because you are broke and your passport said "nah."

I just made a thing: A collection of links for web developers to navigate the web platform more easily. 🟢 Places to follow progress and keep track. 🟣 Places to make your voice heard and influence the platform with your use cases.

Noticing how products from big companies are getting worse, and people are just accepting it? Seems like cutting corners isn’t working out so well.

AI isn’t 1,000 PhD students knocking on your door. It’s more like 1 patchy bachelor’s student who scraped their way through using other people’s work, inefficient, unoriginal, and bad for the environment.

Using starter packs is backfiring. My follower/following ratio is skewed, attracting follow-back seekers and bots. At this point, I don’t think using starter packs is a good move. I need a quick way to balance these numbers. 😮‍💨

While watching a tutorial have you ever felt you've watched this before but you can't find the notes you've written so you have to watch it again? Not sure what it is if not tutorial hell!

Upgraded to iPadOS 18.2. Apple Intelligence? Just an LLM wrapper that falls back to ChatGPT—even for basic demands. The hardware requirement seems to be just for flashy animations.

Life tip: Feeling overwhelmed? Instead of adding more to your plate, try this, step back and drop tasks that don’t align with your goals or aren’t rewarding enough. What could you let go of today?

IF YOU WERE PART OF TECH TWITTER IN ANY WAY, can you comment here so we can find everyone we knew in the community. I feel like I am going crazy trying to search for accounts and it is exhausting. Can we get a thread going on of everyone? Let's bring the community back together over here.

You are up to date.
