Hometown of Tom Homan, Sackets Harbor had not one but 3 rallies/protests against ICE taking 3 of their students & locking them up in detention in Texas to be deported to Guatemala. Their mother was not a criminal nor gang member. Neither were her 3 children, 1 being a 3rd grader.

Jefferson County, NY, not far from Homan’s home, ICE & Border Patrol took 8 Farm Workers, then took 3 students who have been transported to a Texas detention facility for deportation. Not gang members, no tattoos that could confuse ICE. They are children. Not getting much press even locally.

I have joined every resistance group in my area I can. I, and other sane people, have been on a roller coaster ride of doom for 39 days. I have had moments of hope, but today witnessing trump and his bullies attack a man of honor with no consequences was devastating. I see no light.

In New York State alone 72% of Nursing Home Residents are on Medicaid. If Medicaid is cut where will they go? Nursing Homes will close down and workers unemployed. Medicaid Cuts affect hospitals, doctors office, etc. Tens of thousands will be jobless. All for tax breaks for 5% of the US wealthiest.

My mother was born 3/29/1917. She is the only Medicaid Resident in a Private Lifecare Facility. I got her in on a state loophole as they rec’d state aid. Without Medicaid my mother is out. I know she isn’t the only one. Collateral damage-newborns to our oldest. #BeLoud #FightBack
