Finished New Game+ and ALL of the achievements in Control Resonant today. Surprised at how reasonable the achievements are. I expected to have to get all of the lore, but no. Though, I likely wouldn't complain if I did need to, I only have a handful or so entries to go find.

It's honestly remarkable just how good the game is. I felt just as impressed with the second playthrough as I was when I played it all for the first time. Still, not going to spoil anything about the game's story other than it's fucking awesome.

It's a shame that it feels like there are very few Pokemon TCG Pocket players left. The card design has been top notch and the meta game is insanely diverse. There just isn't enough to it, I guess. It could really stand to have more game modes and ways to use your cards.

Saw a guest wearing a Swat Kats T-shirt and that reminds me that I should watch through that show again. It was a big part of my childhood, and definitely contributed to me being a furry.

Speaking of shirts, I absolutely fucking hate how just about every modern Disney design, official or not, looks like it's made by AI. I shouldn't have to ask if a toaster made it or not, every single time, but here we are.

I cannot fucking wait.

The new ‘MUMMY’ movie is titled ‘THE MUMMY: BOOK OF THE DEAD’. • Starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, Michael Johnston, John Hannah and Oded Fehr • In theaters on October 15, 2027

Just finished my first playthrough of Control Resonant. I definitely don't want to spoil any of the story for anyone so I won't go into details, but holy fuck what a great game. I had high expectations coming into it and honestly they were blown out of the water.

The biggest issue with the first Control was definitely the gameplay, as combat was clunky and not really very fun. Control Resonant's combat is better in every possible way and is really fucking fun.

Why do I even bother posting this? Not like anyone actually cares. I'm not a good friend. I'm never there for anyone else. Why would anyone be there for me?

Honestly, today is just a miserable day. It's rainy and grey out, showing no signs of stopping, the kind of day I can remember having in Maryland. Not the kind of day that I'm used to down here in Florida. Hopefully the sun eventually comes out.

Finished Morning Star last night. The pacing is a lot smoother than that of Golden Son's so I took a little longer with it. Great book! I will eventually acquire the follow-up novels. For now though, this feels like a good place to stop and pick back up on the Green Creek series.

This album is definitely going to be one I talk about at the end of the year. I keep coming back to it.

I haven't been posting about music as often as I think I should be. Time to fix that! I can't stop listening to the new album from Burner. It's so fucking good and incredibly relevant considering the state of the world we live in. Death metal + Hardcore. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3HP...

I just finished Golden Son. The pacing is such that it felt nearly impossible to put down. Can't wait to start Morning Star...a lot to think about what could happen next.

I may have made the mistake of starting two book series at once this summer... Anyways my haul from the store today is: Golden Son and Morning Star by Pierce Brown Ravensong, Heartsong, and Brothersong by TJ Klune Thinking I'll get through Golden Son and Morning Star before the gay werewolves.

Hitting the road today and heading up to Maryland for the weekend. Sunday is my Grandmother's 100th birthday and the whole family is coming together to celebrate. Will be...interesting. They all hate my Dad, but of course he's coming along.

The more recent Ingress events appear to have their reward medals made by generative AI. Hugely disappointing. They look like shit. I haven't had a great time playing it lately and maybe this is the sign to put it down.

It fucking sucks that the last two Insomnium singles have clearly used AI generated images. The songs are fucking awesome, but the images are slop and detract from it. Patrick Ulleaus, the director of the music videos, is clearly just using AI as a shortcut to vomit out this crap imagery.

The band's official YouTube claims that no AI was used and that Patrick has over 25 years of animation experience. To me this means one of two things: 1) The band thinks we're stupid, or 2) Patrick is cashing in his years of experience to cut corners and lie about its usage. I'm banking on #2.

I cannot stress enough how fucking bad this is for everyone involved. I should be over the moon that one of my all-time favorite bands is writing music at the top of their game. Instead, I'm just fucking disappointed.
