just like I expected, death of the Steam Next Fest was greatly exaggerated, all people had to do is wait a few days until ranked instead of random selection kicks in. the random selection was a change introduced in later SNFs because of small dev complaints in the first place

tweaks might be needed now that submissions are 99.9% garbage instead of 95% garbage, but it's not a cataclysmic paradigm shift. steam has been mostly anything-goes and just getting better at algorithmically filtering out the garbage for years now

Had a good ole time at #fabtcg Calling Valencia. It feels really rewarding to roam around an event and see people using my life counter app at the casual level tables. I think for next time I travel to something big I'm gonna make some stickers to give away.
