Cowboys get it done & the BrewPool Week 7 winning record is 11-3. Thanks for playing! Week 8 promises to prove entertaining with key matchups including BALvBUF, MINvDET, KCvDEN, & the Patriots visiting their seemingly ever-challenging division rival Dolphins. Schedule to post soon!

A reminder, because it is almost that time of year: More children are killed by cars on Halloween than any other day of the year, by far. www.vox.com/future-perfe... If you're a parent, I hope you'll do what you can to keep kids safe. If you're driving on Saturday, PLEASE exercise extra caution.

From that moment on their strength was BROKEN. They had plowed through the courts, the corporations, the institutions, the law firms, the universities, until they met a thin line of teachers and nurses and social workers in a frozen street in January. And against all odds, found it was unbreakable.

I do think when historians look back the period the exact moment where it flipped and started going the other way won’t be anything any politician did but my Minneapolis neighbors weathering the worst of the regime in the streets, rallying together, fighting back, and winning

This can't be a good thing for Ohio Republicans.

What kind of special circumstances might the Trump admin try to use to justify election intervention? “Complaining that the ballot identifies Sullivan only as the incumbent, not as a senator, Trump said: ’a lot of people don’t know what incumbent means.’”

In the last few weeks i've been bombarded with emails from people who have minor tech support problems. ChatGPT is telling them to email me, writing their emails, and compiling "evidence packets" after convincing them they have stumbled on a major story: www.404media.co/chatgpt-keep...

I shouldn’t be surprised but the open racism is still breathtaking to this privileged white lady living in 2026.

Rally speaker: "Mike Rogers is an American. Abdul has a birth certificate. The birth certificate says he's a citizen of America. You know what? a birth certificate doesn't make you an American."

I agree the fascist tech ideologies often seem remarkably juvenile & poorly conceived. I think a lot of it starts and ends with excessive psychedelic drug use. People prone to platitudes who aspire to be popular at Burning Man.

for how seriously his ideas are taken by the presumptive american oligrachy, yarvin is remarkably juvenile and dumb. "just tell the brazilian military to do a coup."

I always thought the saying 'every drive that ends in a field goal gets you closer to a loss' was meant to emphasize the importance of the first three downs, not suggest you shouldn't take the points. It's obviously situational & I don't disagree with Campbell as much as LaFleur's 4th down choices

Welp, the Lions & Packers' 4th down decisions may be much more about trying to keep the ball in the hands of their offenses than rely on their defense & special teams.

I'd be quite interested in a sports show where analysts speculate on what coaches saw and adjusted that seem to facilitate polar swings in momentum and score.

People used to say they didn't want to vote for the lesser of two evils and now just hope they have a president one day who doesn't have reasons to pardon literally thousands of staffers & contractors.

I tend to agree that players are not typically as big a problem in the NFL as what coaches try to do with those players. Coaching staffs get outperformed from week to week and players’ stats subsequently look lacking.

An updated BrewPool Week 7 scorecard with the venerable @michaeljreynolds.bsky.social's picks included. Same as before, ZERO unanimous picks, which means a whopping 14 contested games with 5 outliers - ATL (Derek), IND (Walker), TB (Brewer), NYG & PHI (Gulyas) Good luck to all BrewPoolians!

I was expecting Daniels to QB when I picked Tampa in our pool this week, lol. I'm less excited about the star who complained in preseason about reporters projecting a poor year for the Bucs and then led the team to an 0-4 start but I'd still take it.

Alright, folks, here is YOUR BrewPool Week 7 scorecard. In what may be a BrewPool first, we have ZERO unanimous picks! That means a whopping 14 contested games with 5 outliers - ATL (Derek), IND (Walker), TB (Brewer), NYG & PHI (Gulyas) Good luck to all BrewPoolians (except for T.Cox)!

Tickets for the winless Miami Dolphins are set to slightly increase in price next year under the reasoning there are 8 home games this season as compared to 9 next, per 96.9 FM The Game. lol
