Jagmeet Singh

I won Gold in my second competition this year. This one was at the ADCC Niagra Open. I competed as a purple belt in the +30 years old division despite being 46 years old. Thanks to everyone who showed so much love.

Today on Remembrance Day, I remember my great grandfather Captain Hira Singh, our Canadian Veterans and all those from around the world who allied to defend the freedoms we cherish today. Lest we forget.

Some asked me recently if I’m ever affected by negative comments online. While my answer was no, not at all. It got me thinking, why doesn’t it affect me? Maybe the answer lies with the Lotus Flower 🪷.

At a time when the odds feel so stacked against working-class people, the people of New York made history. They elected someone who will fight for them. Despite all the odds and powerful interests stacked against him, @ZohranKMamdani won. Congratulations!!! ✊🏽💪🏽

It should not have taken a genocide to recognize that Palestinians have the basic human right to self-determination. Now governments around the world need to unite and stop Netanyahu’s genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people.

Mark Carney’s plan to balance the operating budget means $43 billion in cuts. So last night I asked him: “Do you think it’s a good idea to cut supports for people at a time when they need their government to help them?”

Did Galen Weston write this? Food inflation is happening because of gouging by grocery giants, not packaging. But both Pierre Poilievre and Mark Carney are against a cap on grocery essentials. If you want to fight gouging and bring down the cost of food, elect NDP MPs

This election is about who you can trust to fight for you – especially when times are tough. Carney and Poilievre are looking out for corporations – I’m looking out for you. At tonight's leadership debate — I'm fighting to protect what makes Canada, Canada.

Friends! Friday is the first day of advance polls – and I've already got my plan to vote, do you? Now is the time to have your say. Tell your friends, family, coworkers — everyone, and make a plan to vote early. Go to howyouvote.ca for more info.

Keeping Canada, Canada means a tax system where everyone pays their share—so working people don’t pay the price.

Only the NDP will protect what makes Canada, Canada—public health care, human rights, and fairness—while standing up to Trump’s trade war and corporate influence. In a race between deep cuts and more of the same, a strong team of New Democrats is the only way to defend the Canada we love.

This is a matter of national security. Donald Trump’s closest allies are circling Canada’s essential infrastructure. Meanwhile, this Liberal government is leaving the door wide open. We have to defend our Canadian infrastructure from Trump and his mega-donors.

The biggest wins Canadians are proud of – like dental care, birth control, and safer workplaces – – only happened because people voted NDP.  We’ve done more with a few seats than others have with a majority. Your vote gets results. We’ve proven it.

More New Democrats in Ottawa means YOU are better off. With 25 of us – 25 NDP MPs – we fought for the biggest expansion of health care in a generation. We brought you dental care & pharmacare. These are concrete things that improve people’s lives. If you elect New Democrats we will fight for you.

Homes should be for people to live in — not for greedy investors to flip.

Pour défendre vos intérêts, on a besoin d’envoyer des député·es qui ont du cœur au ventre à Ottawa. Des néo-démocrates qui se battront pour réduire vos factures et arrêter les cadeaux aux ultra-riches. 🧡

Across the country – workers are fighting for what they deserve. Fair wages. Safe working conditions. Respect. New Democrats will always stand with all workers in their fight – you can't say the same for the Liberals and Conservatives. Solidarity forever!

It's time for national rent control. Agree or disagree?

It's been an amazing few weeks on the road and I am feeling the energy!🔥 New Democrats are ready to fight for everyday working people in every corner of this country. We've shown that when we turn our passion to action, we win BIG — from pharmacare to dental care. Let's continue that momentum!

Every year, Canada loses up to $39 billion to corporations dodging taxes.  That's money that could:  - Build thousands of affordable homes - Hire doctors and nurses - Upgrade our roads and transit systems - Create good-paying union jobs across the country - And so much more.

Tomorrow, I will announce my plan: nation-building, war-time measures to Trump-proof Canada. Our path to victory will empower every Canadian to stand up for our neighbours and strengthen our economy in these uncertain times. I hope you'll join the fight.

This is why New Democrats fight—for people like Michael and Riley. I’ve been told to give up. That’s not who I am, and it’s not who we are. If our movement can make a difference for families like Michael’s, it’s worth it. Thank you,Michael and Riley, for reminding us why progressive voices matter.

What a beautiful moment. A hotel worker in Hamilton heard we were going to be in town, so he showed up to work in his orange tie. Big bosses, billionaires and CEOs have Liberals and Conservatives — but I promise you, New Democrats will always have your back.

Solidarity forever! Thank you CUPE, for your voices and support in this fight. It's us against the billionaires and the big bosses and it's a privilege to have the support of Canada's largest union. With New Democrats, working people win. ✊🏽

The Sikh belief is that we are all one; we are all connected. And we are all better off when the people around us can thrive. It is in that spirit that I wish Sikhs in Canada and around the world a happy Sikh Heritage Month!

Health care in Canada isn’t a business deal. It’s a promise we make to each other. Today in Edmonton, I’ll announce our plan to defend that promise — from Donald Trump’s trade agenda, and from greedy US corporations cashing in on Canadians.

It was good to be home. Thank you to my Burnaby family for making our BC regional campaign office launch SO special. And a huge thank you to the Burnaby Firefighters for their endorsement (and for cooking up some delicious hotdogs)! Burnaby South, I'm in it for you. Thanks for all your support!

More New Democrats in Ottawa means YOU are better off. With 25 of us, we fought for the biggest expansion of health care in a generation. We brought you dental care and pharma care. These are concrete things that improve people’s lives. If you elect New Democrats, we will fight every day for you.

While Trump threatens health care, Canadian provinces are stepping up to bring in US doctors and nurses. Doctors from overseas should be allowed to work from coast-to-coast-to coast. The NDP is focused on expanding health care for all Canadians—because everyone deserves care, not chaos.

Michelle is a single mother, who starts work at 5 am to provide for her daughter. When she sees tax cuts for the ultra-rich — she thinks, "what about me?”She’s right. Our middle-class tax cut will help Canadians like Michelle by putting them first , not the ultra-rich. 👉 ndp.ca/tax-cut-for-people

Today, I announced a middle class tax cut. The NDP’s tax cut will save families over $1,450 a year by cutting taxes and permanently removing GST from daily essentials. The ultra-rich have Liberals and Conservatives looking out for them — I’m in it for you.

Taiaiako’n-Parkdale-High Park - thank you for the warm welcome! Across Canada, people are looking for change. They’re looking for a government that will work for them - not the rich and powerful. Together, with incredible candidates like @bhutilakarpoche.bsky.social, the NDP will deliver.

Four years ago, I stood right here and called on the Liberal government to use federal land to build affordable homes. Pierre Poilievre wants to sell off our land so rich developers can get richer by driving up prices. My government will use our public land to build 100,000 rent-controlled homes.

On continue, ensemble ! 💪

Wow, Montreal! What a start to the campaign! 🔥 A full house, incredible energy, people motivated to make a difference. ✊ Everyday, I’m fighting for you—I’m in it for affordable housing, a health care system that works, and a better life within reach. With a team like this, I know: we can win.

The attack in Ajax is horrifying. Islamophobia has no place in Canada. This hate-motivated attack is a reminder that divisive rhetoric is a stain on our country and not part of our Canadian values. My heart goes out to the victim, her family, and the Muslim community. I stand with you.

I am running in this election to help you — not the billionaires. New Democrats have a proud history of getting things done: protecting pensions, getting dental care and pharmacare for Canadians, taking on corporate greed When families and workers are struggling — we choose you. Every.Single.Time
