I think it's neat that if you give the party an expendable item like a charged wand, scrolls, potions, they tend to hoard them. If you have an item with daily charges, they tend to use them as not to be a waste. Then if there is an unlimited usage item, they forget all about it.

the point of ttrpg is to have fun with people. bad rules get in the way of having fun. somewhat bad rules make having fun too easy. a lot of the time fun is about having a bad time on purpose. but the most important thing to remember is that you are having fun wrong and i hate you for it.
