Do it!

Rep. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie tell CBS they're considering bringing inherent contempt charges against Pam Bondi for failing to release all of the Epstein files.

I have tried watching those Jubilee debates and I usually can't go longer than a few minutes. I get too frustrated FOR the progressives whether they're facing the single conservative or in the middle surrounded by conservatives.

Me: *sees an indie news source from my hometown post about our US rep* I wish we could get someone younger and more progressive. He's been there forever! Hometown MAGA living in Chicago: 😑 Progressivism is COMMUNISM! Read the book about it! Me: πŸ˜‚ *blocks him*

As a pianist with a very good ear, it's easy to play Christmas carols at the ready and just know the chords to be able to fake it well. Most of the carols I play easily by ear are all sacred: O Holy Night O Come All Ye Faithful Silent Night Angels We Have Heard on High Little Drummer Boy

As a pianist who's become atheist, it's also awkward. But I justify it that the music is still beautiful even if I don't believe in the god they celebrate. 🀷🏻

One of the things that tends to bug me is when Christians praise their god even when they're diagnosed with cancer. It doesn't make any sense. You say your God is all-loving and all-powerful. And yet he let you get cancer. And you say "God is so good" if you survive it. #AtheistSky

If your God was so good he'd: 1. Never let you get cancer 2. Never allowed cancer to exist in the first place. I've heard this from other atheists and I agree: the Christian god is a narcissist. It's all about him all the time. And if it isn't, you're not a true Christian and it's your fault. 🀦🏻

When pop artists bring their audiences together, they have a wonderful opportunity to empower them. Have voter registration on-site at your venues and even QR codes for fans to scan for their awareness of laws and proposals in that area's city, county, and state. Get them educated and ready to vote!

All I can say is I'm so fucking proud of myself I voted against fascism 3 fucking times. "This is exhausting." -Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

Me in 2003-2007: Omg W is THE. WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER. πŸ™„ Me in 2016-2020: I miss W. Can't we go back to that level of worst? πŸ₯Ί Me in 2025 to present and until *the* headline comes: You know what? Fuck it. The bar is the lowest it's ever been, it's in hell's basement and digging lower. Whatevs. 🀷🏻🫠

As long as Americans have to do GoFundMes to pay for medical bills or funerals expenses, or choose between medication, food, or rent, you cannot convince me this is the greatest country in the world.

MAGA: Wait, [a headline] isn't supposed to happen! It's supposed to be America First! Progressives: Sounds about right. 🀷🏻 Trumpers: You knew this would happen? Progressives: We've known anything extremely batshit crazy, evil, or stupid could happen because he's a narcissistic conman.

Progressives: The bar is abysmally low. The bar is in hell, for fucks sake. And we've been warning y'all for a fucking decade. 🀦🏻

I'm in my 40s and have started identifying with what comedian Anjelah Johnson said about buying your clothes from Costco instead of fancy retailers. Just give me something that looks good, is practical, and doesn't cost me over $50. Idgaf.

This is how our government has been corrupted: 1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office 2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor 3) Donors make huge profit 4) Repeat We must get big money out of politics. It is the root of our dysfunction.

I'm a veteran public school teacher in my 40s. I'm approaching my 20th year old service. For decades, I had an extreme aversion to reading because as a kid, reading was always work, an assignment. A task. And I'd be quizzed or tested on what I read. #booksky

But I especially learned that my favorite reading experience is full immersion: audiobook + reading on Kindle or the physical book. So what started off as holding myself accountable as an educator ended with discovering a passion for something I didn't know I could have. #booksky

So much so that my wardrobe includes shirts with pro-book messages and puns. And a baseball cap that says to SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BOOKSTORE and LIBRARY on the front and back. Now the kid who hated reading is an advocate for literacy for all. βœŠπŸ»πŸ“š #booksky

Then that turned into a surprisingly joyful experience. I started becoming a bibliophile, craving books. Fiction, nonfiction, and genres I hadn't read: Mystery Horror Rom-com (especially queer) Drama Black history #booksky

In 2022, I set a goal of 12 books. I read 25. In 2023, I set a two of 30 books. I read 54. 🀯 I also learned that my best reading experience is audiobooks for nonfiction (especially while driving) or fiction if the narrator does the voices really well. #booksky

I just needed to give myself the grace and the space to let go and let it in. So I did. I was obsessed with the Hamilton musical at the time so I bought the biography and read that, on and off, in 13 months. I marveled at my accomplishment. #booksky

So then I went for shorter books, classics, I'd never read (and because I'd seen on social media how much the Trump admin was reflecting certain books. So I started with those - banned books: Handmaid's Tale 1984 Lord of the Flies The Color Purple #booksky

So around 2016/17, I had an epiphany. I was a public school teacher actively reminding my students of the importance of reading. Yet I wasn't doing it myself. #booksky

So once I realized I could read at my leisure and pick whatever I wanted and not be tested on it, I decided to read what I'd not read in high school, in part because I was also a slow reader and it made me feel bad about myself. But this time, there were no boundaries. #booksky

If the Pedofelon Administration is going to declassify educators as professionals, then each person in the administration just insulted every teacher they've ever had.

Given that President Pedofelon has signed the bill to release the #EpsteinFiles, I started reading Nobody's Girl, the memoir by Virginia Roberts Giuffre. Please give it a chance. I'm listening to the audiobook off of @libro.fm . #BookSky πŸ“š

The Piggy Pedofelon did what? The irony and hypocrisy is practically tactile.

Donald Trump is now sharing memes of Democratic lawmakers behind prison bars.

Watching Hidden Figures again because I love watching underdog stories, especially when the minority makes the majority eat and choke on humble pie.

I'll never understand how many adult legislators just caved to President Piggy Pedofelon and normalized everything he did. As Elizabeth Cheney told them: "To my Republican colleagues who have defended the indefensible: There will come a day when Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain." 🎀πŸ’₯
