James Landino 🇯🇵🇺🇸

Hey gamers! For those new here, I'm James, a game & anime music composer/DJ of ~20 years! Rooted in rhythm games and Sega titles, I've worked on many cool projects, most recently with Hololive! I'm living in Japan focused on connecting everyone in the mainstream to video game and anime music 🤙

video game remixes

Im doing music for Ondeh Ondeh! Rasa Sayang remix by me! Please look forward

Here’s a new remix of @jameslandino.com’s hit song, “vs SAYU,” feat. @taybastet.bsky.social who is a big fan of him! This one was on/off several years in the making, & I think this turned out better than my past self could’ve imagined! Listen here: youtu.be/yKTfp4wFmLE #nostraightroads #vgm #nsr

Writing music for a game that won’t exist anymore is wild, man Heart goes out to everyone affected by the epic layoffs

I wrote music for the new anime-inspired racing game Screamer developed by Milestone! Getting to work on an arcade burnout style racer was such a treat

sometimes our job as game music composers is to make the 4/10 game feel like a 7/10

Footage from class! Thanks again to everyone for coming!! Since @nsr-official.bsky.social and @jameslandino.com dropped the preview track for NSR 2 last week, i felt it was only necessarily to whip up some choreo to it! Super excited for the game🙌🏾🕺🏽🔥 #nostraightroads #videogames #dance

#NSR2 track reveal! 🎧 Turn up the volume and listen to a (work-in-progress) track coming to No Straight Roads 2! Composed by @JamesLandino and performed by Sara Ryan, ‘vs. Rama Irama’ will appear in Bunk Bed Junction’s showdown against rival Rama Irama. Check it out!🫨⚡️⚡️⚡️

take my word for it, there so much solid game and anime music coming out this year proud of my music friends working on the coolest projects

missing the era of 90s/2000s gamedev where a junior designer could pitch their lunchbreak idea of "but what if he dual wielded sword guns" and it was badass enough of an idea to get the money to make your cool game

if you want the game industry to positively change, you need to stop paying money to companies that do not change. it is not enough to keep giving company money while tweeting "this sucks" some companies bank on "whales" paying even when company makes Not Good products

This weekend I finally heard the song I cowrote with RON, “Aspire” performed live by Liella! at Yokohama Arena As one of the few western composers writing music for Love Live in Japan, I am forever grateful for this opportunity

late to the party but Mario Kart World OST the best video game soundtrack, probably of all time. Direction, scale, technicality, creativity, consistency, legacy, diversity, implementation I haven't so positively reacted to any music like this in a long time

Went to a choir camp and made a friend who introduced me to Cytus. Fell in love and kept playing it until Cytus II came out, where I heard the goat @jameslandino.com and said "this is so cool. I wanna do that" I will never stop making music. Simply too fun

Anime Expo day 1 lets get it 🤙 Crazy to think RWBY was my first anime ost credit over 10 years ago

Got pat down by security at Haneda airport and midpat goes “ahh shadow desu” I love Japan

I love seeing fandom of games Ive worked on and also, fans who make things that claim to be "better than the original" lowkey should be devs have to factor limited time, budgets, (mis)management, deadlines, more fans can create solely from passion, no externals

Living my best life at Emerald Coast
