I've always been curious, for those who offer lifetime deals. Aren't you afraid of only making a handful of sales and then being responsible for maintaining a product long term? How do you get out of it if you want to stop making the product due to lack of sales? #buildinpublic

Finally, I had some time and created the initial implementation of my first "daily" game to help me learn the gender of Portuguese words. Working: - mobile first interface - saves progress to local storage - CI/CD Next to do: - handle wrong answer state and complete game state #buildinpublic

What I see at the moment is that creating a new starter pack in bluesky is the new trend. In theory the packs are a cool idea, but I am already seeing so many duplicate lists. I have a feeling it will become too difficult to find the "right" pack soon. Let's see how it evolves. 😄

I love stuff like this, really innovative spin on crosswords and calendars. aaronson.org/blog/crosswo...

Planning out a simple MVP for adding daily challenges to my Portuguese language learning project. - No account registration or login needed. - Local browser storage for tracking your scores. - Date based rotation of the questions to ensure everyone plays the same game each day. #buildinpublic

Why is it so hard for me to remember the verbs "ver" and "vir" in European Portuguese? 🇵🇹 I think it is because they sound so similar and their tense conjugations feel all mixed up with each other. I need to come up with a good memory tactic to remember them. #portuguese

Studying for a Portuguese language B1 test next week. It makes me want to build a small web app to help me memorize all the core verb conjugations Perhaps a "daily" type game to keep me motivated to improve on the previous day's score.

Problem solved. Using my domain as a handle just needed a couple of hours to take effect through the DNS propagation process. 👍

@jameslawler.bsky.social I've been trying to set up my domain as my handle without much luck. It verifies green but then selecting the update button does nothing. The app UI could be clearer so I know if anything is happening. Maybe it just needs time to update on the Blue sky app ⏳
