Remember when I was a minor radio celebrity in Des Moines for 12 minutes back in December? archive.org/details/jami... Then, if today wasn't exciting enough, I found out that Weight of Water was among the Top Ten Best Sellers of January at @beaverdalebooks.bsky.social. a.co/d/4chEUQP

Lookie! 👀 It’s like the universe (or Amazon) knew that I got out all my Christmas decor yesterday, including my adorably charming and lil bit creepy Santa collection so they delivered 2 big boxes of books for my Weight of Water Book Launch next week! a.co/d/2Y2Syba

People often ask me if I reread my books after they come out. 1. No. Never. Ew, David, ew. No. 2. I have no interest in reading my writing unless I'm writing/editing it. There is so much else to read. 3. I read the thing so many goddamned times while writing and revising. So many. YET STILL I ERR

Excuse me, but look what you all have done. You went and bought Weight of Water like rockstars and now my book is residing in the same list as Hatchet by Gary Paulson, which along with Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret, are the books that made me decide to become an author when I was in 4th grade.

The official release date of the eBook Weight of Water on Kindle, Nook, Smashwords, Google Play, and Kobo is TOMORROW! You can pre-order right now so that at midnight tonight, it will drop right into your queue. Use the QR code to buy everywhere. Amazon: a.co/d/irKWNYI

I love a good curated playlist for any occasion. Weight of Water was a fun mix of British bands and moody, rainy jams that I might hear if I were writing in the back of an English pub with a pint with an added side of rain sounds because it's England and it rains a lot. Out Now! a.co/d/02zfrap

I'd like to create an "Authors of Small/Indie Press Books 2024-2025" starter pack. Is that you? If so, please reply here. Also, if you don't mind reposting this for visibility, I'd appreciate it! #writingcommunity #indiebooks #indieauthors #booksky
