There are multiple threads online right now of people sharing their memories of their loved ones who were passionate Brewers fans, but have already passed. It's really lovely. 😭

Aside from my art museum membership (which is one of my best spent monies) and the reciprocating museums thru that, I try to buy year memberships to other museums, galleries etc as most are not very expensive, it supports the venue, and it's incentive to visit on a whim

I love watching the baseball crowd. Right now there's a woman a few rows behind home plate in a fish snuggly costume and I'm loving it

I like baseball and basketball, and I'll watch football, but I don't follow it much. I DO though, like the sounds of the football game, and often will have it on just for that

Everything is streaming, it's so convenient, and I mean, I'm paying for these services....but sometimes I put a disc into the player and then just let the menu repeat over and over as background, like the old days

It's always a good day to NOT read the comments on local news, but today's comments are way more racist than usual. People or bots? Disgusting either way.

We were watching The Martian (again) and during the credits scenes, like someone passes around this big salad or something at a gathering, and I said to T, "What is that, a salad? We used to be able to do that!"

There is no version of yourself you could become that would satisfy the people who hate you. So you might as well be who you are.

I'm at a beer garden where a woman is singing (really well) and playing guitar, covers, and I am WAITING for an Indigo Girls cover because it's got to be coming, and I want to hear it

What's happening, this lady showed up with 2 pizzas in boxes that indicate Good Pizza, but is sitting alone (I'm sitting alone but that's not the point, I don't have multiple pizzas w me) but she's also not eating them. Cos see I'd really love some of that pizza so

I really love the current "viral" recipes and little "lemme show how to make this" reels these days (ie. not dumping food all over the counter and smearing it around). It's all just basic cooking know-how, but not everyone knows-how, and these are approachable and easy to remember to build skillz

When people talk about how much more expensive *everything* is, everyone already knows they can just "make/grow it themselves", thrift, do without, etc (if skills, access, time, resources are in place); these suggestions are missing the point of the original observation

Well, all the store bought fresh produce we had, I'd eaten from most of it over the past week, but I guess I'm getting slightly nervous from increasing coverage so I either threw away, made soup or made clafoutis. Gonna need to get to a farmers market next week. I eat a lot of fresh greens 😭

I found a channel that's just random videos of people in stores and malls in the 80s and 90s. It's wild, comforting, memory-triggering, fascinating...and also like, these should be special features on Dawn of the Dead discs lulzzzz

Whyyyyyyyyy are so many experiences veering to catering to and access for only the wealthy now? How are people even making all this money? There's a lot more not-rich people who are being shut out of enjoying any kind of event, esp if they have kids. My questions, are frustrated and rhetorical, thx

I fully believe in all the food justice things, and I want you to garden and community garden (I do even tho I'm also very bad at it), and preserve or share your extra harvest; but we can't individually garden ourselves out of the upcoming troubles and all the think pieces about it aren't helpful

I took my parents to walk through a large, beautiful, historic cemetery recently, & it was so cute & funny because my mom kept asking who everyone was. Find-a-grave came in quite helpful when I did not know. I also made a primo cemetery joke that my dad set me up for, gallows humor all day

I saw a thumbnail of a brand new YouTube video episode, and the host was full on wearing an outfit from my high school days. And it looked SO cute. It WAS so cute, then, too. I have no reason I'd have saved my wardrobe over the years, but dang, I wish I had.

A plotline I always love is when a "big Hollywood production" comes in and want to adapt our regular characters experiences. Usually a fun time with good self-parody

I'm begging anybody to learn what the city's assessment actually is, how it works, reasons you would contest and how property taxes in this city work. If you are mad about how the city is allowed to raise and use funds, and you should be, start w the state GOP

Also holy shit, people who live here who really *hate* this city, hate the city government, hate the public schools...I'm not saying relocating is easy, but those folks need to think about it. Or some self-reflection and maybe need to start getting involved civically or volunteering charitably.
